Putting this on as I go to sleep as a form of soothing and cathartic release to prevent me from commiting homicide. Later I will dream of Alan bringing free science education to the masses.

The extraction section of this video is broken. How do you go from pestling the mushroom to DNA extract? Add water?

@Fungi Academy THANK YOU so much for sharing This! I just got done watching The Fungi Files: DNA Barcoding Secrets Revealed on the @mycoGeeky Podcast. It was my introduction to barcoding and sequencing and I have so many questions because it really sparked my interests. The way Alan did this presentation with the pictures and talking along while being able to read what he's putting on the screen really helped me a lot to understand this more.

Hi Alan, I am conducting research in which I am culturing different AMFs on potato dextrose agar in absence of a host. The fungus grown is typically very thin as there is no host symbiont present. How much mycelium would you guess is required for successful ITS sequencing - given fresh, but very thin mycelial growth?

Hey man, I'd like to give you the opportunity to study adaptogen and mutation compounds and how they impact evolution. A radiation emitting device should allow you to adapt certain organisms, especially when combined with certain alkaloids, to evolve at an exponentially faster rate. This should be enough of a blessing to get the ball rolling, I have assistance everywhere, and throughout space and time.
