Hello watching your KZbin I have a couple of questions to ask. 1. Can you share PCB files made with fritzing? 2. Can you tell me where to make PCBs? Can you tell me the PCB production site or URL? 3. I want to know the minimum quantity of pcb and unit price I want to make the same thing.

Hi Grensom, would it be possible to modify the code so that it responds to computer output instead of a microphone cue? (basically a color organ that goes off whatever audio is playing on the computer)

it's very interesting, Maybe you should try using the sound frequency spectrum instead of the sound envelope - warm colors for low frequency and cold colors for high frequency it will make things look much cooler and more natural :)

This is so damn sick! The idea is great, the custom PCB. The wood working is kinda garbage compared to other creators on here. It would be sick to see you do a collab with some wood working creators. DIY Creators is one that does alot of LED and electrical work. EvanAndKatelyn are another one. They run a business where they productize their creations. Making a kit for something like your mirror or this interactive Smart Lights could be a cool product where people can integrate it or other creators can use that to make cool stuff. Either way, great video. More importantly, something I haven't seen. Keep up the good work.

I'm new to electronics but I recently got an Arduino nano as well as a Raspberry Pi 3B, and I'm trying to learn this sort of prototyping and making custom PCBs. I'm currently trying to emulate a product called the Kaimana Mini, it's a LED controller that reads inputs from an arcade stick encoder board and does customizable reactions based on button presses and combos. I can replicate this using an Arduino reading one input signal per pin, either 8 or 12 inputs depending on if I also want to read the joystick, but I have no idea how to simplify this to read all the inputs to a single pin. Cuz rather than a full Arduino which would use too much power for a USB connection that's also powering the Brook encoder board, I'm hoping to use something like the low powered ATTiny85.
@redwilliams18044 жыл бұрын
I'm going to try and make this, but I have one question: Is the audio source just sound the board picks up, or does it receive it wirely from a pc or phone? The version I'm trying to make would be, when it is plugged into my laptop or switch via usb, it would monitor the sound output from that and replicate it with the light sequence. I don't want to just be talking and it picks that up
@Grensom4 жыл бұрын
Red Williams - BRHS 2020 This particular project utilizes a microphone not wired connection. However you could simply replace the mic with an audio jack cable

Why does the LED light strip need a separate power supply? Can it not be connected to the 5v pin on the Arduino board?
@phonebook453 жыл бұрын
Doesn't *need* a separate power supply if you're using a 5v LED strip. He's using a 12V strip in this video though. You can use the 5v pin from the board to power a 5v strip but you're going to be limited to about 1/1.5A output. With a power supply you have more amps to and less voltage drop so you can get longer runs with higher brightness levels.
@Dealman156 жыл бұрын
I'm curious, where did you order the PCB? Good pricing? Most companies that make PCB boards where I live only do it for companies or cost a fortune.
