one big comment that relates to all of your videos: when thr guy is playing edit out his speaking mic. very confusing and you cant really get an idea of the pure guitar tone. really love your reviews especially tom's reviews

Getting a MM JP without its original tremolo with its piezo is like getting a Sterling version of it. But I have to say I got a little bit nostalgic seeing the same body shape with the scoop out he first started with MM.

Hi !!! Don't you think the jp16 is a "bit" muddy in the low E string ?? I own the seven string version, i found it unusable with havy and fast riffing like the enemy inside intro, i tried ti make it sound defined (with a mesa mark V) but nothing... I was so fu**ing sad that i was going ti bring it back to the seller.... i repalced bridge pickup with an illuminator instead a sonic ecstacy, it sound a bit better but isn't well defined still... help me if you can !!

at first when I saw the guitar and the specs I was kind of happy because I thought that they were doing a more afordable model to make the jp series something more mainstream, using the floyd rose and lack of piezo to keep the price down and it was going to be awesome. I thought I would start seeing people change from rg to jp and stuff like that but..... then I saw the price....
@ironwolg8 жыл бұрын
yeah i was expecting $1599 for this guitar. $1999 at the most, this seems absurd to me because why would you go with a downgrade when you can just get the majesty for the same price?
@Joseandresyanes8 жыл бұрын
Perry D and the worst of all is that the thing is gorgeous. At a proper price it would have sell like hot cakes.
@mattchavie36198 жыл бұрын
I went to purchase a Majesty last week and left with a JP16. I think the JP16 is a better guitar, at least for me. The guitar feels amazing.
@Joseandresyanes8 жыл бұрын
I dont doubt is an amazing guitar, is just that i have a JP6 and one of the best things of the jp series (at least for me) is the bridge and the locking tunners, you have the same functionality of a FR without any of the complications. So for me the only reason to put a FR on one is to cut costs. Thats my point of view but if the FR works better for you then enjoy it, the guitar is still georgeous. congrats.
@jonathonvargas34767 жыл бұрын
josé andrés Yanes It also affects the tone of the guitar. The JP16 with the basswood body and Floyd makes it the best EBMM for that 90s Dream Theater sound.

@@craigjones4274 agree, got one and love it. There are many great guitars offered by different brands but this one is really unique because of it's spec and so far one and only signature of JP build this way.

@rawellpelayo44358 жыл бұрын

How come some music mans dont have a the regular switch configuration. Is it me or did they get a sterling and just write music man on it
@alexanderwald2046 Жыл бұрын
the traditional MM bridge features the piezzo saddles. this model features a floyd rose bridge, therefore no piezzo, and no regular magnetic / piezzo switch on the guitar itself

I wonder if the reason to dump the piezo was because they couldn't fit it on the Floyd saddles... that wouldn't have happened with Ibanez, anyway to me this is a disappointing model the JP15 was way better.

Man all the hate for a floyd Not everyone likes the music man trem and so here it is Besides, if you do that crazy whammy bar stuff, youll find that the music man trem is limiting and it gets out of tune just like all floating bridges If you dont get all whammy crazy and like easy tuning, youll be happier with the music man trem but if you like getting crazy and know how to set up a floyd, this jp16 is awesome, its more like the rg ibanez jpm but with a floyd instead of the edge trem (which i like better) Notice how jp doesnt really use the jp16, i think he did it for the people who wanted a floyd........great guy, doing things for his fans or the $$$, either way its a great guitar

You're just jelly, it's not perfect in terms of explaining the specs but far from laughable. And note that this is only a 3-5 separated takes review, and the talking parts are LONG, not like some reviewers that say something wrong, or forget the specs after every two three sentences and have to have lots of editing. So, one might say a word or two wrong but as long as it's specification-correct then it's okay.
