I saw him as a guest singer at Edmonton Symphony Orchestra's "from Broadway to Hollywood" piece a few days ago - June 2024. He's still so captivating despite having sung this song thousands of times. A true master of his craft.

I had the pleasure of seeing him in the role this past weekend. I'd never heard of him before that date (and I thought I knew everyone to ever grace the role by now!), but he immediately found his way into my top 3. Absolutely incredible actor and singer. He pulls off the despair of the character better than any I've seen. What a privilege it was to watch.

I saw him on tour in '02: he was just marvelous. His voice and characterization had the perfect juxtaposition of sweetness and power that is hard to describe, it'sthat rare. Met him afterwards and he was both kind and interesting. We chatted about the original novel and the Opera Garnier. So glad to see he still has that spectacular stage presence and glorious voice. My favorite Phantom that I've seen Stateside.

Ted was my first Phantom back in January of 2002. He remains the best Phantom that I have seen live (I've seen at least 9 different men in the role), and if they were smart, they'd have him as the "main" Phantom on Broadway up until the show closes, rather than as the alternate.
