You can often tell the scale of a game and how long you're expected to spend in each area by the length of each track in the OST. The fact that Shinshu Field goes for so long without looping shows just how big and detailed that area is.

I wouldn't be surprised if Masami purposely designed the first part to last as long as a morning in the world of Okami with the second part taking up the rest of the day. I'll have to test it out to be certain but it'd be pretty cool if he did. Hell, even if he didn't it's still a brilliant track that makes me long for warm summer days out in the fields.

For me, this was by far the most memorable song in all of Okami. I remember sitting on the floor while playing on the WII and listened to this for hours, I didn't even really progress in the game. I just recently got the HD version for my PC and when I finally reached hearing this song, I remember smiling from ear to ear because it was so nostalgic and it was so heartwarming, especially from 4:15 to 4:40 Capcom really did an amazing job with this game and its soundtrack, I believe it is a very memorable experience to have gone through as a kid, and now that I'm old enough, it's much more fun because I can actually understand what's going on and... Issun's perverted but amazing humor Note: Monster Hunter's music was always enjoyable but... This is beyond that in my opinion

i feel like all three overworld themes in okami have adventurous vibes, but they’re different kinds.... shinshu is happy/triumphant adventurous, ryoshima is sorrowful/anxious adventurous, and kamui is angry/determined adventurous

God, I remember the first time I listened to this, I immediately thought "Wow, what a beautiful piece of music!" and while it fits Shinshu Field perfectly, somehow I kept getting this feeling melancholy in the background, and it made me visualize someone traveling in the dead of winter with a heavy heart. God,if they set Shinshu Field in the winter, it would've been the perfect amalgamation of song and set piece. As it is though, it's simply moving. Genuinely tugs at the heartstrings.
