Pardon me from the Family Values Tour got me listening (great album)...Science got me hooked...Make Yourself they arrived... Morning View Solidified their position as a top tier band to be reckoned with. I saw them with Jimmy Eat World and Judah the lion at Area 1 Tour w/Moby, OutKast, Nelly Furtardo, The Roots, and Paul Oakenfold in the rave tent. At Lallopalooza was Audio Slave, Queens of the Stone Age, and closing the show was Jane's Addiction. Sorry for the long text but I just wanted to say those concerts were amazing and a part of my past I want back. I urge everyone to go to as many shows as you can before you can't

I have no idea why there aren't more reactions to this song. This is by far my favorite song of theirs. Great lyrics and vocals. The melody is haunting, and I could never find the words to describe the drums. Everyone wants to just SCREAM at some point.

You're giving me an existential crisis doing all these bands from my late teens! Cannot believe this album was 20 years ago--these guys were my first big arena concert experience when they toured to support this album. They put on a really amazing show, hope you get time to enjoy some of the non-singles in your not-youtube time! Thank you for the nostalgia! :)

I had been playing drums for a few years before I heard this song while riding in the backseat of my sister's bf's car (which had a nice sound system) and just remembering having my mind blown by Jose and his drumming on this song. His use of cymbals and the bell on the ride shaped me into the drummer I am now. As soon as I possibly could, I went to Best Buy and bought Morning View and have been a huge Incubus fan ever since. Thanks for the upload and bringing some attention to this all time great tune! (Side note, the music video version is cut down a fair bit. Give the album version or any live version a listen for the full effect.)

its a truly poetic song with a beautiful message. Every person is on their own unique path in this world, and no two people are alike. one person's idea of success is different and nobody is necessarily better than anyone else. A problem I saw in most people from a young age is how they all try to be something they are not. When someone is genuine it is transparent, and that is what i always loved about this band. They are genuine musicians who love what they do. we should all merit to find our own path and make a difference and be a happy.

This is probably my favorite album of theirs. You mentioned the great sound effects in your reaction to this - Mike Einziger is a friggin maestro of utilizing guitar effects pedals. If you watch them live he has a GIANT pedalboard. Unreal.

Man. Can we get a 12 from Incubus? Lol I feel like your opinion of them (even if it’s a positive one) is skewed by the song choices. I get that you need to do the massive hits for views, but your mind would be blown if you could see how different these guys can get compared to these radio hits. While I’d like some deeper cuts, I’m hoping #6 is “Dig”. Of all the big hits that also have a music video, I feel that that one will showcase Brandon’s vocals the best. I really hope it’s not Megalomaniac. Love that song, but it’s not going to show you any of the other faces this band has to offer. Legitimately my favorite band ever. They’re magic.

I always took the song to mean everyone is so stuck up their own behinds and self obsessed that they don't notice all the real problems going on around them. By the time people start noticing, ie; the woman represents the oncoming problems and her scream meaning the chickens have come home to roost, it's already too late.

First time watcher. I like the videos! Closing it out with either "Dig" or "Defiance" would be fitting. Or you could do both. They really show the maturity in Brandon's voice. He turned himself into one of the best singers from that 2000s rock era imo

Really really enjoying this series. I hope it gets enough views and comments that you check out some more Incubus in the future. Lots of great sounds to explore and I think you'd dig all the different sides they show in their career. Obviously you have to move on now, but toss an Incubus reaction into the mix here and there, I think you'll enjoy almost everything they have to offer.

You are doing yourself a disservice by not reviewing anything from Incubus's landmark album "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." The musicality, the blending of metal, funk, hip-hop and EDM is unparalleled in nu-metal at the time (1997), and put Incubus on the map in terms of touring and popularity. Songs like "Certain Shade of Green," "Anti-Gravity Love Song," "Redefine," "Vitamin," and "New Skin" show a complexity and a willingness to take chances that is not reflected in subsequent albums (these themes are seen the most on the album "Make Yourself" comparatively, but even then you can hear the contrast between the two pretty readily, with Make Yourself being much more accessible for general audiences and radio play). Please, check out their earlier music; most reaction channels tend to ignore it in favor of their later radio singles.
