Hey Hoomans Like, up your favorite request for me to do next week! (Plus, Newbies click here for common questions) All the Information you could ever want to know is here. Question: What are the numbers in the left-hand corner? Answer: Short answer a score longer answer here in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4Ckk2lueZage9k Question: How do I pick songs to listen to? Answer: By what is the most upvoted, and we try to take a couple of requests from the community tab ( so keep an eye out ) once I usually post the last batch of videos. Question: How music experience do you actually have? 🤔 Shortish Answer: Good Question, I’ve been playing guitar for about ten years, on and off, but mostly on if that makes any sense. I’ve also been learning Music Theory on and off for about the same period of time, but because of you fine Hoomans you have inspired me to keep learning so I can keep giving commentary of value. Longer Answer: rb.gy/lqykvh (it’s a youtube link don’t worry.) What’s Next? 1. Candy Store ( Heathers The Musical ) +346 2. Let Us Adore You +191 3. Peace And Love On The Planet Earth +155 4. HELLUVA BOSS PILOT +144 5. This Day Aria MLP +100 6. Hero Too MHA+90 7. Isabella Lullaby +666 8. Final Jyc Row & PrinceWhatever (feat. Celica Solddream 9. And if you do, you’re a god/goddess. I often react to music and now increasingly shows. Over here at Hooman HQ, I sincerely try to push the boundaries of a reaction video. Unfortunately, all that effort is deemed invalid on youtube but as you may know all of my video get copyright claimed which means that we all the effort put into the channel doesn’t get compensated for anything. I wanted to point out to you that the pink pony's name is Princess Cadence and she sings a perfect/true cadence in the song, meanwhile the imposter, the black pony, is singing a deceptive cadence. We all thought that clever, the one being the real Cadence and the deceiver tipping her hoof as the deceptive Cadence.

Two things 1) to answer your question, the melody you asked about at the end, yes, that’s still the framework for the theme song 2) I asked this in the last video, but I’m gonna request it again just because I love the song. React to “In My Head Like a Catchy Song” It’s the love story between one of the main characters’ parents, and it’s so good. It has this bouncy melody and, well I guess you’ll see

As a mlp fan I'm a little salty he watched the "music video" instead of the actual scene The music is really enhanced by the scene itself, and I feel it's actually confusing this guy seeing as how it flips between the actual singing part and random scenes shoved in there, and people are trying to explain it to this guy. But he still likes it so at least we have that

Fun fact about another song from this episode (song is bbbff) from the pony fandom wikia (for context, the pink pony’s name is Cadence): The song's composer, Daniel Ingram, used a cadence known as a "deceptive cadence" rather than an "authentic cadence" to finish the reprise as an "inside joke".[4] The non-reprisal version ends on an authentic cadence, D flat major, rather than a deceptive one (B flat minor). In a (now deleted) tweet, Daniel Ingram mentions that Rebecca Shoichet was lightly autotuned to produce a "harmonizing effect."

Please do "Bad Apple" as it's a song based on a game series from Tohou featuring the characters and their interactions with one another. honestly, your reactions to this piece shows how good the plot devices that hasbro used throughout the show were, and how they help to understand what is going on in the songs. are the songs good? yes. they are amazing. HOWEVER, they are even MORE impactful when you have the full story. like WarpOut's lullaby for a princess animation, when you know the context behind the piece it makes it hard not to cry. most of the big MLP songs are like this. I am a brony who likes the show for the story, the art, the music. the characters are a little bland for the first 3 seasons, but that's fine. everything worked out in the end. I am sorry for the essay, and thank you who ever read this entire thing. have a lovely rest of your life.

For the mlp movie they got a live orchestra for all their music so I would recommend a song that a lot of people are suggesting which is " Open up your eyes" which is a villain song. Some others to look into are " Time to be Awesome" a triumphant song and "One small thing" which is a up beat fun song and " I'm the friend you need" which is sung by Tyae Diggs.

this show is VERY deep. it hits racism, xenophobia, death, power corruption, depression, anxiety, death, grief. there are parallels to real life events or stories told throughout time. hayfields and mccoys was turned into hoofields and mccolts. starlight glimmer ran what could be paralleled as an internment camp by taking away everyone’s identity to make them “equal”, also touching in possible eugenics. even though she still had all of her powers and he cutie mark, nobody else in the village did and had to ALWAYS appear happy and content. when starlight found out some ponies wanted to explore she basically locked them in a room for days on end to “reprogram” them into coming back into the village. almost like a cult type behaviour. it’s so much more than a kids show. it’s dark at times. and it’s really good

”There was actually a double meaning in the song. The song is in the key of Db Major (just like winter wrap up!) . That means that the root chord is a Db major chord. Usually, a Ab major chord will lead into a Db major. This is the V-I chord progression and it is also known as the Authentic Cadence (stick with me here). Now, it seems to resolve to a sadder chord at the end of the phrase. Instead of ending on Db major around 1:16, it lands on Bb minor: the relative minor of Db major. Now, when a chord progression seems to be heading to the root chord but lands on the relative minor instead, that is called a... ... Deceptive Cadence”

I know this is an older video and I don't know if anyone has said anything about this but I love that you compliment the arrangement and instrumentation so much and I have a fun bit of trivia. The primary song writer for the show, Daniel Ingram, came to work for almost every song. In that he put so more effort into these songs that it still surprises me. My favourite example was an earlier song from this finale. The 2 characters in this song is a pony named Cadence and an imposter taking her place. In an earlier song which introduces us to this character, the songwriter uses a deceptive cadence in the instrumentation to foreshadow the fact that the character Cadence wasn't all she seemed. Someone asked him about it on twitter and he said he did that deliberately for his own amusement and didnt expect anyone to notice but I still think that is so clever

Changelings eat love. The big black bug looking horse is Queen Chrysalis. She captured Princess Cadance (pink horse) and took her place; changelings can change shape at will, if it wasn't obvious. Cadance is engaged to Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard. She's been slowing brainwashing him and eating his love for his fiance to pave the way for the horde of changelings to invade Canterlot, the Equestrian capitol.

They kept the theme, but they *made it better!* They added an electric guitar to the song and gave it a good beat as well as adding to the lyrics to make it about the plot of the show instead of just "yay, ponies are great!" like the old theme from the 80's. I am a musician and thought the updated version was really interesting musically, so you should check out the extended theme song if you're wondering about it (yes, they actually made an extended theme and it's not just the first verse repeated with a bridge in the middle like a lot of "extended" cartoon intros).

Luna is best Princess - and a LOT of depth to her character, much more than either Cadence or Celestia. Sure Celestia had to live with the grief of having to banish her, and the guilt of realising after that she was too blinded by her popularity of her subject's love that she didn't even notice Luna, but she still had the better end of managing it, so to say. Yes she had to put on the Princess Face for her subjects after it, and yes it was hard, but she brought it to herself. Her subjects didn't know her distress because she hid it. Whereas Luna's visible distress didn't even get *noticed* by anyone - least of all her own sister. All the signs were there - the retreating, the sadness turning her into an even quieter pony, but Celly was too busy admiring herself to notice/care much. Also, yes Celestia deals with the politcal/nobility management, but Luna dealt in dreams...and nightmares. How much horrible crap did she see in other ponies nightmares? Those really *dark* nightmares? Who did she have in support of it being a hard job? No one. How many ponies did she try to help by dreamwalking? Where was their gratitude for that? Yet everyone praised Celly for helping them out in waking aspects. This on top of the fact that Celly raised one celestial orb a day, yet Luna would painstakingly paint the sky with stars differently each night, as well as guide the moon *and* deamwalk. No bloody wonder she snapped. Luna's story is deep, complex and aching in her struggle, and heartwarming in her recovery, she's down-to-earth, and she's wise beyond even alicorn years. (And she's great with kids! XD) She's 20% cooler than any other Princess!

Daniel Ingram is responsible for all the songs of the show, all 9 seasons plus the movie and spin offs. His compositions range extremely wide in style for whatever is needed.

Hi, I was wondering if you could react to "Go tonight" and/or "The mad ones" from "The Mad Ones", a musical. I'm gonna give a little context for the plot below, if you want it. The themes of the songs might be important for which one you pick: "Go tonight" is later on in the show and deals with loss and "The mad ones" is earlier on and is about Kelly asking Sam to run away with her. The plot: Basically, there's a girl named Sam(antha), who's dealing with the loss of her best friend Kelly, who was run over by a car in the spring of that year (it's almost fall when the story takes place). I think it's important to have a little context of Kelly as a person, she was kind of a Yolo person, eager to be reckless and live fast without looking back. There's more but that's the stuff you really need for context

If you like this, you should watch the fan made male version. Also, season 6 has some phenomenal songs, like Our Town and all the songs from A Hearth's Warming Tail, especially Luna's Future. So haunting

Imma suggest another fanmade song. ‘Brony Polka Animated - A My Little Pony Fandom Tribute’ would be so fun to see you react to. You should so listen to the ones in the actual show, but there’s so many awesome fanmade ones that got me into MLP. The Brony Polka is a medly of a bunch of the fanmade stuff and it’s fun to identify each one.
