It's hard to choose just one, but I'm going to say that my favorite John Mayer album is Born and Raised!

I played this model at Gruhns last January. Out of the many Martin's, Gibson, and Collings I played that day, the OMJM was the best. I preferred it to the Clapton as well. Its one of the very best acoustics I've ever played.
@veewooks9244 жыл бұрын
Came to the same conclusion after playing lots of other Martin’s, Gibsons etc as well. Clapton I think sounded a bit richer, but the neck was way too chunky for me. There’s a vibrancy and aliveness to the OMJM.

My advice to anyone interested in a small body Martin.....stick with the 25.4 scale length like this one......I have a 000-18 retro with a 24 scale and the combination of the short scale with the small body ( especially Martin's are thin) just kills the sound........stuck with long scale unless the guitar is a dreadnaught like a j45

@maxschmick51793 жыл бұрын
@@tricko2286 Yea, actually there is a Furch Vintage Series, its called Furch Vintage 3 OM-SR, from the style and looks its close but I'm not sure if you can compare them soundwise, but I think you can configure a custom shop one for the price of an omjm, which wild hold up really well, else Furch Red series om bodyshape (the Furch Vintage 3 OM-SR is half the price thats why I would not compare them

Been a Music Villa customer since 2006! I was fortunate enough to find and purchase a 00-42 SC and was wondering which pickup you would recommend installing in it (if at all)? Trying to replicate whichever pickup he uses in his 45 SC

Was set on buying the OMJM. As an interim step, bought the Taylor 224CE-K DLX (Koa)…. Oops 😬. The Taylor’s awesome. I may eventually get an OMJM but when I demo the Taylor next to the OMJM, I don’t find a huge difference other than price. They are obviously not exactly comparable but I find I prefer certain qualities of each but can’t say the OMJM is worth $2500 more.

Just got delivery of my PRS Angelus A60E and it is exceptional. For the price? OMG. REAL WOOD, not HPL or veneered plywood, REAL ABALONE, Ebony, cutaway, FLAMED CURLY MAPLE BINDING. Mahogany neck, Ziricote back and sides. Fishman, Just gorgeous and would be $3500 if it were a Martin or Taylor (which at that price might actually use real wood finally) and probably not have half the beauty and material extras. AND SOUNDS AWESOME

Before I say this prs makes great looking and playing guitars never played a bad oneand I also own one, but I hate to break it to you bro, only the top on your guitar isnsolid wood back and sides on your guitar are laminated wood (a form of plywood basically) . and while youre right about no taylors sub 2k having solid wood you can get a new solid american Martin for 1300 (15 series) or a solid spruce top solid sapele b/s road series for $1000>

Just got this guitar, it’s got amazing tone and they downplayed the neck and playability in this video - second to none on a Martin imho. Plays more like an electric. Still deciding whether to keep or return, just cause it is spendy but it should be a lifetime guitar if I keep it.

The "pop" sound phase for JM was just bad production. The songs were actually way better acoustic. If you stripped away the sugary production they wouldn't really be pop songs...but would remain a bit avant garde I would say
