Nope, not a transition!!! Chris doesn't miss much when it comes to gatherings and such - after all, he is "founderer". Just because they "don't show"....... sometimes, it just doesn't make it, sometimes it's the "fun". The link I provided in earlier vid ---- LIVE recording (there ya go Jeremy!). HF will be fine without Austin and Austin will do OK without HF ... doesn't mean there won't be "featuring" (both ways! like PeterHs). ----- Now, way back when during Chris's (& Group) pick replacement, Chance did follow around to get the "feel", songs & performance... of each show so the transition went smooth. I imagine the same will happen when it comes to Austin's replacement! And all the bestest to Austin! Be Safe

I'm with Jillian on Austin. I've watched him literally grow up. Hopefully he will feature on some of their songs, but I can't fault him for wanting to be a part of his family's day to day lives. Who ever winds up joining the group, I have the feeling that the sense of humor would be a match, it seems to be a part of Homs Free DNA. Have a great weekend! 😊

Austin was a singer at Disneyworld then moved on to cruise ships. That's why he wants to set down roots...he was on the road pretty much since college. I traveled for work a bit when I was younger so I get it. As a Home Fry, I'm kind of used to occasional changes. If you think about it, since the group formed in 2000...Tim, Austin, Chance and Rob are all "replacements". Each former member has had great voices...Matt Attwood in high tenor and Elliot Robinson in bass are two off the top of my head. Each time someone left, they found a person that understood acapella singing, fit in personality wise and was an amazing singer. With that track record, I am certain they will find the right person.

Austin joined Home Free about 2012 and Chance came in around May 2016. It Looks Good is one of 4 songs where you'll see both Chance and Chris -- Home Free joins Chris in singing What Child is This?, Chance (and I think Street Corner Symphony) is among the party-goers in House Party, this one with Chris in the right side background when the guys are around the pool table, and White Christmas where all the family are at the Christmas get-together, including Eric Beugler. Beugs is the big guy with the goofy grin you didn't recognize. He's a good friend of Rob's and his co-host in the movie-based podcast The Avid Indoorsmen. He's also the one in the cut-down overalls in the Butts Medley.

I have tickets to see them in April and it will be the last time to see Austin. It will be weird. As for this video, Jeremy, you are right that’s Beug’s, Rob’s friend who wore the overalls. Always a goof. Fun to see the wives, girlfriends and kids of the guys. Love it! 😍

Home Free will flourish, as it always has. Two and a half decades of evolution and change mark their existence. We need to realize that Adam Rupp is the only remaining member who has NOT been "replaced." And Austin's fans are not going to let him off easily, either. He'll flourish, too. I enjoyed the back-to-back videos today. Thanks for sharing them both.

I wish the best for Austin, but, in my opinion, he's one of a kind and no one, i repeat, no one, can ever replace him. His voice is so beautiful, and i tear up whenever he sings. Austin's voice is so smooth, so angelic, yet so powerful.

Austin wants a family and to be a stay at home Dad. He misses being home now that he's married. He bought the house right before covid. From college until he never had a "home". He stayed at friend's or family's places when they weren't touring. Jeremy was right. Beugs,Rob's friend,was the guy in the short shorts bibs in Butts medley. He and Rob do the Avid Indoorsman channel. It's about movies. Buegs can sing and is hilarious. They went to college together.

I’m really hoping that, like with VoicePlay and J. None, that Austin will be a frequent collaborator. It’s a little easier for VP, since they don’t really tour anymore, but I am sure there are very talented folks out there that would love the chance to work with HF! And I will totally miss Austin being with the group, but hope he and Amberly will find the future they want and need. Touring is a tough life for a family! ❤️🎶

The guy you weren't sure of was Beugs, and yes he is the overall guy. He also does the Avid Indoorsmen Podcast with Rob. Austin leaving really upset me. He has a voice that can not be duplicated. He also did cricket sounds on the original Jump Right In. I hope that you get to more From the Vault videos soon. I really enjoyed watching your reaction to this video.

Love these so much ! Chance was singing in this one, i believe. I'd forgotten how many of their friends, families and people they have worked with were in this From the Vault. It was nice to see Chris hanging out. I do hope you decide to do this kind of double reaction again. " I Like the Sound of That " is one of my favorites. Austin will be happy and that matters to me but I am definitely sad. I'm sure He and the guys will pick the perfect addition to the group just like they did when Chris left. This song is on their Timeless album from 2018, so it’s Chance singing not Chris. Chris was only there to part of the video, he’s shown a few time in the background dancing. I don’t know why they didn’t show Chance in the video more than they did.

Yeah, Austin's leaving and I'm going to miss seeing him at the nearby show I hope to get a ticket for in a couple days. They announced the new guy a day or so ago and he's not really a new guy. I just found out that Adam Bell-Bastien was one of the original Home Free members but I knew him as a member of 7th Ave, along with Chris Rupp and his sister Tristin. So he's already part of the Home Free family. Check them out in the 7th Ave cover of Uptown Funk. Tristin's the dark haired lady.

I think Green Shoe does many of HomeFree’s music videos when they are in the upper Midwest. Seeing Chris, Kelsey, Darren , Buegs and Cerise, I assumed this one was filmed in Minnesota. Filling in the background with friends and family is probably most cost effective AND you get to spend precious time with them.

Hi, guys! I finally had a chance to watch your reaction today. Love CeLo Green - we used to sing that song "Crazy" in the bar all the time - long story, but let's just say we were awesome (we thought so at least lol). Anyway, addressing the elephant: I trust the guys will find a great fit. And I suspect (and hope) that Austin has some say in who replaces him. It's not just the voice. It's the personality they need to consider. A lot of their comedy on stage is between Tim and Austin and Rob, so I feel like they need somebody who fits the whole package. Plus perhaps there will be a reunion in the future? Who knows? The sky is the limit. I secretly wish that Austin would just take a break (Like Ross and Rachel) and come back, but I know they need to do what's right for the group.

I'm still not happy about Austin not being in the group - it's going to be SO different. I'm grieving their signature sound with Austin already. Having said that, I understand and wish Austin and Amberly the best in all their future endeavors and will continue following Austin's solo work. I've very happy that there will still be collabs. That takes the sting away a little. You guys definitely need to see them before Austin departs. Also, sure wish you guys could interview them before that happens - that would be great!! I love the "From the Vault" series. It's look being allowed to peek backstage. Cerise is adorable! Jenika & Kelsey are always a treat to see in a video. Austin wrote really wrenching break-up songs after Olena ended it ("Love Me Like That", "If I Met You Now"). I think that the people doing the filming must feel like they're herding stray cats!

To me it looked like Chance was the friend with no partner in the video. So he was acting all bummed out. And the focus of the song was on the couples dancing, hence the lyrics. These guys always have some sort of comedy behind what they do. Chance has a dry/cynical sense of humor. And he's playing into that in the video. Like when he's drinking instead of singing in that one part. Notice Samy was there for the shooting but not in the video. It might have been that she was working on the video behind the scenes, but none the less, she could have been in the video if they were going for that. But I think they were going for Chance being the "lonely friend". Also, Adam wasn't seen much either. His wife usually isn't in their videos. I think it's just something she doesn't like to do, understandably. Love seeing these guys behind the scenes. Austin will be greatly missed.

There is a video of a live where Austin and his wife Amberly describe why he's leaving. It's an understandable reason really, but It's going to be hard for us Home Fries when He does leave near the end of this year. Yes please find a show and go see them! Their show is even worth traveling to see if you have to travel to see them.

To go off what others have said; 1) this wasn't the transition phase. 2) Chance doesn't sign any words in this song, he is signing the (majority of the) Base. That's why you don't hear him like you would think.
