For the USB to work when you insert it, all you need to do is press the button in front of the mixer. The switch will toggle from "USB-Computer connection" to "USB-Disk connection". Then you can use your USB to record the audio directly to your USB disk. Also, alternatively, when you insert the USB-Disk to the mixer, you can also press the Play/Pause button for 3-seconds for it to start recording directly from the mixer.

Great review thanks. I am a drummer and have the following plan. For live - iPad with play list to Dual DI box. Clickout from DI box on one channel and track out the other, both into the mixer with short 1/4 inch standard guitar cables and listen through a set of in-ears. With my own line in from the sound guy this would give me control of my own inputs at the drums. What do you think? Any good for this set up.

Thank you so much! I’ve had major distortions when recording with my laptop. Everything works fine when I record using an SD card. I think it is a faulty sound chip in the mixer. I have a review coming up with another mixer that maybe better. Stay tuned.

I need Phantom Power($16 - Purely a Phantom Power Supply) and I think also need a soundcard($4 to $X) which can be replaced with a Muslady USB Mixer BUT i will heavily edit the recording using a computer. Which do you think is worth it? The Muslady USB Mixer can be used for mixing live but the Phantom Power is half the price. $20 - Phantom Power + sound card or $40 - Muslady USB Mixer + sd card then transfer to PC for edit

The mixer provides adjustable gain. Phantom Power supplies will usually come with predefined gain, which might be too high for your instrument/mic and cause clipping.

@@JohnSpearsJr Hi John, Behringer sells a RCA to USB Converter. You maybe familiar with it. I own a couple of them. Amazon and ebay sells them. One thing I was trying to find was the manual on this mixer and the Muslady F4 mixer. The F4 on ebay, we think will allow you to take and run audio from a desktop or laptop to stream or record. Do you know anything about that one? We are in the U.S. and they are being sold here. This one your demonstrating would be fine if it comes with a AC adapter. My desktop uses Microsoft Windows 10, the Desktop PC is a Dell with a built in sound card. My engineer's name is Jim "Turbo" Turvaville and we are very interested in this product! It's inexpensive and seems to be reliable for even small, licensed, FM Stations. Jim owns two FM Stations in the Panhandle of Texas. His church, I'm sure would be interested to know more for using at nursing homes. COVID is so bad here right now.
