Why the debate around the age of Aisha, the Prophet’s wife, is *irrelevant.* First Understand *4 things* : ♦️1) How to study history? ✅Ibn Khaldun mentions something quite important which we must keep in mind, especially when discussing this “issue”: " A hidden pitfall in historiography is disregard for the fact that conditions within the nations and races change with the change of periods and the passing of days … The condition of the world and of nations, their customs and sects, does not persist in the same form or in a constant manner. There are differences according to days and periods, and changes from one condition to another. This is the case with individuals, times, and cities, and, in the same manner, it happens in connection with regions and districts, periods and dynasties. […] Analogical reasoning and comparison are well known to human nature. They are not safe from error. Together with forgetfulness and negligence, they sway man from his purpose and divert him from his goal. Often, someone who has learned a good deal of past history remains unaware of the changes that conditions have undergone. Without a moment’s hesitation, he applies his knowledge (of the present) to the historical information and measures the historical information by the things he has observed with his own eyes, although the difference between the two is great. Consequently, he falls into an abyss of error." ( Diwan al-Mubtada’ wa al-Khabr p. 24-26 ) ♦️2) What is history? Early marriage is practiced all over the world, *regardless of caste or creed.* Historically there is no wonder in that. “It needs to be remembered that many Medieval widows were not old, Important heiresses were often married between the ages of 5 and 10 and might find themselves widowed while still in their teens.” (Margaret Wade Labarge ; A Medieval Miscellany , page 52) ♦️3) Why so in history? ✅Neil Postman explains, that the modern concept of "childhood" is a recent social construct that did not exist before the 20th century: "In an oral world there is not much of a concept of an adult and, therefore, even less of a child. And that is why, in all the sources, one finds that in the Middle Ages *childhood ended at age seven.* Why seven? Because that is the age at which children have command over speech. They can say and understand what adults can say and understand. They are able to know all the secrets of the tongue, which are the only secrets they need to know. And this helps us to explain why the *Catholic Church designated age seven as the age at which one was assumed to know the difference between right and wrong, the age of reason.* It also helps us to explain why, until the seventeenth century, the words used to denote young males could refer to men of thirty, forty, or fifty, for there was no word-in French, German, or English-for a young male between the ages of seven and sixteen. The word child expressed kinship, not an age. But most of all, the oralism of the Middle Ages helps us to explain why there were no primary schools. For where biology determines communication competence, there is no need for such schools…The medieval way of learning is the way of the oralist; it occurs essentially through apprenticeship and service-what we would call “on-the-job training.” Such schools as existed were characterized by a “lack of gradation in the curricula according to the difficulty of the subject matter, the simultaneity with which subjects were taught, the mixing of the ages, and the liberty of the pupils.” If a medieval child got to school, he would have begun as late as age ten, probably later. He would have lived on his own in lodgings in the town, far from his family. It would have been common for him to find in his class adults of all ages, and he would not have perceived himself as different from them. He certainly would not have found any correspondence between the ages of students and what they studied." ( Dr. Neil Postman, The Disappearance of Childhood (1982) ) ✅Here is an important citation which explains how one can’t compare childhood and maturity of today to the past as mentioned Professor Mary Lewis: "No matter what period we are examining, childhood is more than a biological age, but a series of social and cultural events and experiences that make up a child’s life...The time at which these transitions take place varies from one culture to another, and has a bearing on the level of interaction children have with their environment, their exposure to disease and trauma, and their contribution to the economic status of their family and society. The Western view of childhood, where children do not commit violence and are asexual, has been challenged by studies of children that show them learning to use weapons or being depicted in sexual poses...What is clear is that *we cannot simply transpose our view of childhood directly onto the past.”* ( Mary Lewis, The Bioarchaeology of Children: Perspectives from Biological and Forensic Anthropology p. 4 ) ♦️4) Those who say nonsense without knowing any of this are just idiots. Such people's arguments are just fallacies. There is no place for such nonsense in the academic world, social media idiots understand this. ✅Presentism-an anachronistic misinterpretation of history based on present-day circumstances that did not exist in the past. (David H. Fischer, Historians’ Fallacies: Toward a Logic of Historical Thought (New York: Harper & Row Publishers, 1970), pp. 135-140.)

I think Prophet Muhammad could have been Sczhphrenic, they hear voices and see things that are not actually there except in their brain, its true read up on it, they also have anxietyty and panic attacks like the Islamic Prophet did, so u never know, be open minded here. Many Sczophrfenics are intelligent too, and can think in their head as Gods, its pretty common, like they believe they got a mission, they are also very creative, it doesnt mean they are killers, but am just saying think about it. ♦️In the Bible, Isaac, 40, marries Rebecca, just 3 years old. (Genesis - 25:20) {Johann Buxtorf - Rabanical Literature : Volume - 1 - Page 33 , 34 } { The Zohar : Pritzeker Edition - Volume 2 - (2003) - Page 264 } ♦️When the Blessed Virgin Mary was twelve years old, her guardians began to inquire into marriage. She was married to Joseph, a carpenter in his late 90's. (Matthew 1: 18-25.) - Catholic Encyclopaedia. ♦️Saint Augustine - (354 AD), chosen to marry Is a 10-year-old girl. ♦️Skanda Purana says that Sita was only six - 6 - years old when 'Lord' Rama married Sita. ♦️Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was one of the most famous yogis of 19th century India , He married a Five Year Old Girl Sharada Devi (1859). Swami Vivekananda was his disciple. ♦️Mahadev Govinda Ranade (d. 1901), a social reformer, spiritual man and author who founded the Social Conference Movement in India, ignored his disciples' suggestion to marry a widow when his first wife died, and remarried eight-year-old Ramabai. ♦️King Richard II -1400 AD, He married a 7 year old girl. ♦️ One of the architects of the Indian Constitution Dr. Ambedkar married a 9-year-old Rama Devi. ♦️Satyendranath Bose, India's most accomplished physicist, is married to 11-year-old Ushapati. ♦️Srinivasa Ramanujan, a famous Indian mathematician, married Janaki, a nine - year - old girl (in 1909). ♦️Henry VIII -1500 AD, He married a 6 years old girl. This is a picture of many famous personalities in the history of the world. So what do you say?😊 Know with that, 🔰 Early marriage is practiced all over the world, regardless of caste or creed. Historically there is no wonder in that. ✅"It needs to be remembered that many Medieval widows were not old, Important heiresses were often married between the ages of 5 and 10 and might find themselves widowed while still in their teens.” (Margaret Wade Labarge ; A Medieval Miscellany , page 52) ✅"In fact, until the mid 1960s, the legal age of consent in Delaware was 7 (Kling, 1965: 216). So a 50 year old man could legally have sexual intercourse with a 7 year old boy or girl.” (Anthony Joseph Paul Cortese , Opposing Hate , page 85) 🔰You have to understand , The age of marriage is then and now It's just relative. 🔰 Marital life is about things that take place in relation to the time of the respective individuals, their living conditions and life goals. It's up to them. 🔰 For those who are knowledgeable All of this is well known. That's all. 👉If you think child marriage is a thing of the past, think again: Half of US states set no legal minimum age for marriage, and several states have only weak oversight over the practice.Laws in 44 U.S. states allow marriage before 18. According to statistics from Unchained At Last, nearly 300,000 children - some as young as 10 - were married in the U.S. between 2000 and 2018. 👉Even today, in the 21st century, India is home to the largest number of child brides in the world with at least 1.5 million child marriages each year, according to a report by the United Nations children’s fund, or Unicef. 👉Under current canon law in Vatican City, men can marry only 16 years of age and women 14 years of age with parental consent. Just a couple of centuries ago, some of the most famous people were getting married at 14, 15, and 16 years of age. There is nothing new here, this is world history. People matured at different ages in different times. May Allah ﷻ guide the sincere and severely punish these Islamaphobes. Ameen!

The onset of puberty changes due to many different factors, this is well documented and studied in reproductive biology.

How old were the other wives of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when they died? Why is it that not one of them back then was dying EARLY as you say they were?

Ash-Sharh al-Mumti‘, 12/53 With regard to consummation of the marriage with a minor, it does not become permissible by merely drawing up the marriage contract; rather the husband should not consummate the marriage with her until she is able to have intercourse, which is not necessarily at puberty. This is something that varies from one environment and time to another. With regard to that, sharee‘ah pays attention to physical makeup. The fact that it is permissible to marry a minor girl does not imply that it is permissible to have intercourse with her, rather the husband should not have intercourse with her until she becomes able for that. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) delayed consummating the marriage to ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her).

He constantly moves the goalposts. @20:40 he says he considers large age difference marriages is child abuse biologically. But he started the conversation saying he agrees with the principle of presenting and doesn't judge the past. And only wants to focus on the psychology. Here you can see he shifts his position to try to show Abbas as "wrong". People need to learn to be consistent and just say oh ok, I take what you say, I will go away and reflect. Not switch positions to "win the debate"

Is such a drawn out discussion necessary? why not tell them what she had to say about the prophet? why not inform that he did not snatch her away but her father offered her hand in marriage? why did society during the prophets lifetime and even later Islamophobes until very recently did not find this a matter that can be used against the prophet? why not mention the percentage of hadiths that come from her narrations? how about asking them why she not only hung around after the prophet's death but devoted her live to teaching the religion?

They should also know the stage of growth we call adolescence wasnt created until the late 1800s and before then marriage was consummated through all cultures when puberty had arrived adolescence has basically enabled society to coddle otherwise able people to stay in the mindset of children and stunt mental maturity until they leave their parent which is usually 18 at the earliest and some into their 20s and 30s etc *Stanley Hall, was credited with discovering adolescence (Henig, 2010, p. 4). In his study entitled “Adolescence,” he described this new developmental phase that came about due to social changes at the turn of the 20th century.* look him up

Why the debate around the age of Aisha, the Prophet’s wife, is *irrelevant.* First Understand *4 things* : 1) How to study history? 24-26 ) 2) What is history? Early marriage is practiced all over the world, regardless of caste or creed. Historically there is no wonder in that. ✅"In fact, until the mid 1960s, the legal age of consent in Delaware was 7 (Kling, 1965: 216). So a 50 year old man could legally have sexual intercourse with a 7 year old boy or girl.” (Anthony Joseph Paul Cortese , Opposing Hate , page 85) 3) Why so in history? 4 ) 4) Those who say nonsense without knowing any of this are just idiots. Such people's arguments are just fallacies. There is no place for such nonsense in the academic world, social media idiots understand this. ✅Presentism-an anachronistic misinterpretation of history based on present-day circumstances that did not exist in the past. In my own country at the year of 2022 I often end up in debate with people about this issue. People are so ignorant and have no idea that in our own country, who btw considerse itself are progressive, feminist, modern, western etc, that there is no age limit here for marriage. All it needs is parents consent and judge, she could be even 10 years old. There is no law about legal age for marriage here. It is not done culturally, but legally there is not limit. If the parents want to marry their 10 year old and find a judge to sign up on it. They can do it and people here have no idea and are always 😮 when I tell them this.

@@MilitantAntiAtheism This is what Jesus peace be upon him said about the day of judgement. The messenger of God shall go to collect all the prophets, to whom he shall speak, praying them to go with him to pray God for the faithful. And every one shall excuse himself for fear; nor, as God liveth, would I go there, knowing what I know. Then God, seeing this, shall remind his messenger how he created all things for love of him, and so his fear shall leave him, and he shall go nigh unto the throne with love and reverence, while the angels sing: "Blessed be thy holy name O God, our God." 'And when he hath drawn nigh unto the throne, God shall open [his mind] unto his messenger, even as a friend unto a friend when for a long while they have not met. The first to speak shall be the messenger of God, who shall say: "I adore and love thee, O my God, and with all my heart and soul I give thee thanks for that thou didst vouchsafe to create me to be thy servant, and madest all for love of me, so that I might love thee for all things and in all things and above all things; therefore let all thy creatures praise thee, O my God." Then all things created by God shall say: "We give thee thanks, O Lord, and bless thy holy name." Verily I say unto you, the demons and reprobates with Satan shall then weep so that more water shall flow from the eyes of one of them than is in the river of Jordan. Yet shall they not see God. 'And God shall speak unto his messenger, saying: "Thou art welcome, O my faithful servant; therefore ask what thou wilt, for thou shalt obtain all." The messenger of God shall answer. "O Lord, I remember that when thou didst create me, thou saidst that thou hadst willed to make for love of me the world and paradise, and angels and men, that they might glorify thee by me thy servant. Therefore, Lord God, merciful and just. I pray thee that thou recollect thy promise made unto thy servant." 'And God shall make answer even as a friend who jesteth with a friend, and shall say: "Hast thou witnesses of this, my friend Mohammed?" And with reverence he shall say: "Yes, Lord." Then God shall answer: "Go, call them, O Gabriel." The angel Gabriel shall come to the messenger of God, and shall say: "Lord, who are thy witnesses?" The messenger of God shall answer: "They are Adam, Abraham, Ishmael, Moses, David, and Jesus son of Mary." 'Then shall the angel depart, and he shall call the aforesaid witnesses, who with fear shall go thither. And when they are present God shall say unto them: "Remember ye that which my messenger affirmeth?" They shall reply: "What thing, O Lord?" God shall say: "That I have made all things for love of him, so that all things might praise me by him." Then every one of them shall answer: "There are with us three witnesses better than we are, O Lord." And God shall reply: "Who are these three witnesses?" Then Moses shall say: "The book that thou gavest to me is the first"; and David shall say: "The book that thou gavest to me is the second"; and he who speaketh to you shall say: "Lord, the whole world, deceived by Satan, said that I was thy son and thy fellow, but the book that thou gavest me said truly that I am thy servant; and that book confesseth that which thy messenger affirmeth." Then shall the messenger of God speak, and shall say: "Thus saith the book that thou gavest me, O Lord." And when the messenger of God hath said this, God shall speak, saying: "All that I have now done, I have done in order that every one should know how much I love thee." And when he hath thus spoken, God shall give unto his messenger a book, in which are written all the names of the elect of God. Wherefore every creature shall do reverence to God, saying "To thee alone, O God, be glory and honour, because thou hast given us to thy messenger."

"Those who love to see immorality spread among the believers-for them is a painful punishment, in this life and in the Hereafter. God knows, and you do not know." (Qur'an 24:19) "Those who slander honorable, innocent, believing women are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter. They will have a terrible punishment.' (Qur'an 24:23)

When the dude said 18 yo, it's clear that he's a close minded person. Talking to him is exactly like talking to a brick wall. 😂 .

Exactly. One can easily punch back by saying why 18? Why not 23? There are many many cases of 18 yr olds being childish in nature. In fact the adult minded 18 yr olds are the "outliers". By his own argument he hasn't provided a necessity for psychological assessment. Funny how he demands it for Islam.

Hadhrat Aisha’s (ra) age of marriage was not criticized until the modern age, even by critics of Islam in previous ages. This proves cultural sensibilities were different.

Out of all the things the Kufar of qurash used against our prophet MUHAMMAD [saw] they NEVER used his marriage with Aisha to denigrate our prophet. That itself tells you it was common and exceptable in that time such marriages.

Child mortality rates were also much higher, so people needed to start having children earlier so that they have a higher likelihood of having a surviving family.
