Assalaam alaykum brother. I have been to a few masjids in Bangkok and I think I can recognise the masjid in the video. There are a few halal markets in the city and a lot of muslims too but go to Southern Thailand like Phuket and Krabi where there masjids and halal joints everywhere especially in Krabi

The southern part of Thailand are part of Malay Muslim kingdom but separated after The Bangkok treaty between Siamese & British in the year 1909

I believe your Thai friend is an ethnic Malay because the face is spectacularly similar to most Malaysians. Malay Muslims came to Bangkok as hostages from Pattani, a Malay Muslim kingdom. Now it is all history.

The name of the masjid is “The Foundation of the Islamic Centre of Thailand”. Yes like all Masjid’s there are sections for both Men and Women. There is the a city called Krabi which is good for sightseeing, except it’s to the south of Bangkok

Walaikum assalam. Yes, there is a Islamic hotel called Almas hotel. Which is a budget hotel owned by Muslims. There is also a more luxury Islamic hotel called Al-Meroz hotel which is right beside it, with the same owners. There is also a Mosque and train station nearby from the hotels

Ya....The Patani Malay is a polite and well behave people with good traditional culture practices. Speak Bahasa Yawi. They wanna good life, good education and peace only. The root caused of Tak Bai Tragedy was created by Thai Army by mistake. Of course they were NOT happy. That's why, called as 'Tragedy'.
