@Night-hc1zd As Muslims, Allah conceals our sins. It's dangerous to expose them as if they are insignificant because Allah forgives those who do not flaunt their past sins. May Allah make it easy for everyone. Ameen. Sister/ brother, there are teachings about this, and the sad thing is that some Muslims don't like it when I advise them. They reply, "Don't judge me; only Allah can judge me." This is sad. Umar ibn Al-Khattab, the prophet's companion, said, "We judge by what's apparent, and we leave their inner secrets to Allah. There isn't really any difference at all. The only parents that arrange/force you into a marriage are those who have a lot of power over you. And it's difficult to say 'no' in those instances because of that very reason. If you want to be in a forced/arranged marriage, that's your freedom but trying to pass it off as consensual somehow is what irks me. If you didn't even want to get married, what happens then? And can those same parents force you to not divorce later?

What would be then, longer marriages do indicate a marriage being successful. Just because some people stay in long marriages aren’t happy doesn’t mean the majority arent
@er-ha Жыл бұрын
@@HA-jq1mu I mean, it is common for people to stay with abusers (simply because of psychology of abuse). But time married isn’t really a good indicator.
@meez312 Жыл бұрын
@@HA-jq1muusually people in arranged marriages are culturally pressured to stay with someone even if they are unhappy or abused. Just in my experience, as I come from a culture where our parents really want to promote arranged marriages to us, the ones who get arranged and work out are TYPICALLY people who would never ever consider divorce...because its taboo & shameful. My parents were also arranged, not compatible at all, and have been married for 25 years. They are not happy. But they will never get divorced. In my community, never getting divorced & being stuck with someone who doesn't really get you is equal to "working out". I'm biased but for the couples I know, it is rarely the case. Coupled with the idea that teen girls are promoted this idea to marry the first boyfriend they ever have, as long as the guy is the same culture & religion then even if they do the bare minimum these girls still end up marrying them. I have friends in 7+ year relationships with guys who don't do jacksh*t and are dying to marry them. That being said, there are some couples that arranged marriages do work out for in happily ever after...just not common in my sphere lol.

Music to us is like the apple tree that was forbidden for prophet Adam and Eve. And just like them we also make mistakes and sin and listen to music or miss a prayer. It is haram and our prophet never listened to music, but draff are allowed for women during weddings or occasions but for men it's not allowed you can search more about it. There are really valid reasons to instruments being haram the first is that music and Quran do not mix, you can't have both in ur heart and that is actually true cuz I used to be obsessed with songs to the point that while sleeping i would be humming and right after waking up I would start singing and never stop and I was really far from Allah back then but then I decided to start praying and then start reading Quran daily but I was still listening to music non stop. As I got closer to Allah I felt that songs are literally the only thing pushing me away from him and after listening to music I would be in a very bad mood and I would mostly get a flashback of all the bad memories so I felt like I needed to cut off music but I just couldn't. I thought "well let me pray that I stop listening to music and Allah will just keep me away from music" yet I couldn't even make such a duaa cuz of my love towards songs but deep down I wanted to stop and suddenly I stopped without realizing it and I do sometimes feel like i want to listen to songs and I do sing a few min in, I would feel guilty and switch to Quran and my whole life changed after that and I still get the feeling that I miss songs but I try to ignore it. So I advice you to leave it for Allah this whole life isn't worth it. Btw there are lots of ex-music producers and singers who quit their jobs cuz they have seen how badly music affects us. search about them on utube and u will understand how badly music affects our mind

Arranged marriages last because they’d be shamed if it didn’t, both of them. It’s the fear of being judged and ridiculed that keeps them together, in reality they built an entire life with a stranger..
@quietcell Жыл бұрын
I say this as a non-muslim, who is not in an arranged marriage - that is just not true! Many people in arranged marriages fall in love. Because your nearest and dearest suggested this person, then you meet them, ideally get to know them and make a decision. Also many not arranged marriages are held together by shame, fear of the unknown, fear of economic struggle etc. In unequal societies so many women feel unable to leave - I'm talking about western societies here! Across all marriages some are good some are bad, whether they are arranged or not.
@only_fair23 Жыл бұрын
That can be, but are you saying if you spent a few years with someone, you wouldn't eventually like them? The marriage can be horrible the entire time, or it can be very peaceful. Most people who go through with it hedge their bets on it being peaceful and their happiness comes from their children.

There's so much social pressure to drink, and so many people are so genetically predisposed to alcholism that asking them to drink every Friday after work/every event is like asking them to do meth. Ruins so many people's lives. I thankfully don't have a geneetic predisposition (just some health issues so it makes me feel blah) but I find it incredibly annoying being pressured all the time.
