Looks beautiful. Can you drive or take a taxi from Varenna to the castle? Traveling with an older person.

Yes, it is quite beautiful. There is a village at the top but you won't get directly to the castle by car. Once you park, there is still 100-200 metres of walking. There are cobbled streets too which can be very challenging for some. Thanks for watching.

hahahah! i feel your pain! i did this walk not knowing what it was going to be like in august of 2021 only to be passed by 70 year old swiss people on holiday who seemed to fly up it!

Oh no! Some people are blessed with amazing fitness aren't they? I'd love to be flying up mountains when I'm 70!

Thanks so much for subscribing. Honestly, I wish I could remember, I think somewhere between 30 minutes and an hour, it would depend on your level of fitness. It was quite the workout 🤣 It was quite steep and very cobbled, so be sure to wear comfy boots or shoes. Take water too!🤣
