I dont know if anyone mentioned this, but the "coral" is actually a type of worm that burrows into drifting wood. The jasperized wood you found was actually filled with worm holes known as toledo wood.

You said you might have an epic day. Well... it looks like you did. From the multicolored jaspers, to the boytroidal agates to the jasperized petrified wood, it just kept getting better and better. Send a thank you to chopper for keeping you safe. I never knew how you always found the best rocks. Then it dawned on me, your the "Rock Mom" and you just call out to your children and they come. Thanks for the epic tag along. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒ Woof!

I really like the occasional birdsong in the background. Maybe a housefinch? All the natural sounds are so much better than music. The water drip and splash, the cricket, the birds, the gravel crunching. Your voice ooo-ing and aww-ing... Oh yeah, the rocks are cool too.

Wow Kim, that little colorful agate was gorgeous! Man, the colors and the banding are insane! What a killer find! And that pet wood the jasperized one, was amazing! So colorful! And the green one! Wow! And that chunker of agatized wood! Wow! That brecciated jasper with hematite was really nice! The pattern was awesome! Pretty carnelian agate too! And that deep dark red agate was just amazing! Nice coral fossil! And that broken piece of agate with the lines was nice. The agate after that with the fortifications banding was amazing! Chopper is so much fun! So cute! Nice cutter too! And all the rest! Wow Kim! What a really awesome day! And your agate of the day, really was the agate of the day! Successful hunt for sure! Thanks Kim!

Montana agates are amazing...I'm hunting occasionally in Northern Illinois Mississippi river...getting some lake superior agates on a rare moment....These rocks are really beautiful...so I think you have gotten to heaven today!😊

I've got to my kids out there! What finds! My kids love agate hunting, but our Lake Superior agates are quite small in comparison to yours...and less numerous. But you can't be the banding and colors of ours! If I would have only known of the agates you have in Montana when I was their years ago, I may have never left😀

Your agates are on my bucket list.... you are right, your colors and banding....wow!!!!!

Hey Kim, just wondered if your kids are into rockhounding? My son is for sure. My daughter has lost interest. She is 9 and my son is 8. I'm hoping she will come back around. So is there a way I could send you some pictures of my shelf agates? Tried to send you this message last night and I think the internet monster gobbled it up😃. My 2nd and 4th video show a couple of my agate jars in depth. You will have to check em out. Anyway, your a natural agate finder...just like my son. Please forgive me if you already received this comment. Still trying to figure out this smart phone and KZbin!

Oh my gosh!!! What gloriously beautiful finds!!! May I ask in (or around) what geographical region of Montana you are scavenging? Just curious as I have land in the upper NE region and never even thought to scour my property for rocks. I generally scavenge near the Pacific Ocean and creek beds of Oregon. Thank you so much!! Your joy is contagious and I have just subscribed!!! ❤❤❤

Just found your channel and I’m obsessed! I love collecting rocks on the beach and now I’ll have to come to Montana! Question for you- do you know if there is a way to turn rocks you find into semiprecious stone beads? Or would you need a whole bunch of expensive machinery for that? I love to hand-knot beaded necklaces and it would be cool to make some out of stone I found. Love your joy and enthusiasm!

You're making me sad! The summer of the flood was my 50th high school reunion, Miles City. When I was younger, I spent a lot of time looking for rocks just like you are, but on this trip, my last one, there weren't any stream beds to look in! I found a guy in Miles City who did lapidary in his basement and bought an agate from him so I wouldn't go home empty handed. Pout over!

LOL most videos I watch I have to speed them up a little but, yours...... when you find a rock and get all excited and saying look at this and look at that flipping the rock every which way and back again to drop it and pick it back up and put down and wash it then grab it and start turning it....that whole sentence happens in real time of 2.3 seconds! LOL it is too funny to see how excited you get when you find a winner! but, I do have to slow it down to see all the things that make it exciting! Dont change a thing, I just got tickled at you when you fond the big yellow one about 3 mins in!! I was like "let me see let me see!!! lolThanks for sharing!!!
