Kirk Koetter's passing offense in ATL as OC over the last decade led to RB's receiving touches that ranked in the bottom-10 in those years. And Matt Ryan has thrown the most attempts over those years. Gurley is only there to keep the offense efficient. Gurley is a good RB and they're happy to have him but the Falcons will be a passing offense

I'm not too high on Mixon bc of schedule. He has to run against the Steelers and Ravens D's in 4 weeks, Browns D should be good too. That's 6 weeks of great defenses. Along with Cowboys, Colts, Titans and Chargers. Which are also good defenses. That's potentially 10 weeks of unfavorable matchups.

My draft went really RB heavy. 11 of the first 12 picks were RB in fact. I had miles sanders high in my personal ranking and I had inside knowledge that he’d be gone by my 17 pick. So I probably did quite the reach and took him at 7 overall. The first 6 picks were the 5 top backs plus CEH. I didn’t want Michael Thomas cuz WRs r so deep so I took my top rated RB left which was miles. Sometime I think I should have gone Henry. But I have faith in sanders. Weird thing is Mixon was still available at 17! So I took him. Strange cuz most would think I got Mixon in the first, sanders in the 2nd. But I don’t follow “ADP.” I do my own lists and go from there. Great video, hope you’re right about Mixon and sanders! 🤞

Jonathan Taylor in the first four rounds this year is a bust waiting to happen. Mack is good, he is a proven running back, he knows the offense, coaches, and organization as a whole, but more importantly he is in a contract year. That all points to heavy usage. stop pretending it's not confusing that the colts drafted Taylor in the first place, they didn't need a running back they need a defense way more. They picked him for the talent, but to not run Mack into the ground in contract year would be incredibly stupid.

I might end up watching this video over and over to get some advice once I start doing a fantasy draft with my Dad also I really love the guys you just put on your list because, I got all of them on some of fantasy teams even though I only have Jonathan Taylor in one league but guys like Joe Mixon Miles Sanders Todd Gurley David Johnson I have them in several leagues and it’s gonna feel weird taking Miles Sanders in the 2nd round when mostly WRs like Chris Godwin, Julio Jones, or Tyreek Hill are gonna be on the board and Sanders is a 3rd round pick plus lots of people usually love to run after either Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes in the 2nd round when it’s too early to grab a QB

JT is one of the best RB prospects in many years. He is on a team with a great O line and should overtake the just okay marlon Mack in just a couple weeks. He proved he can catch the ball good enough to stay on the field for his share of 3rd down situations. His athletic profile is off the charts. He proved he can handle a bell cow work load in college. Only question mark is if he can he get his fumbling under control. Who is a better recent RB prospect? Barkley obviously but after him.....ummmm......He is gonna be a beast!!!!!

I honestly think JK Dobbins is a better all around running back than Taylor. I will not be taking Todd Gurley I don’t like those knees and his O C doesn’t even know how to use running backs. David Johnson is a big no for me I don’t care about his touches he doesn’t have it anymore and he never was a good between the tackles running back, Deshaun Watson doesn’t even use running backs in the passing game and the better pass catcher is still there in Duke Johnson.

A lot of people drafted Joe mixon early last year, I laughed because if you watched and did your research you saw that they lost a lot of offensive line talent before the season even began. I would not hold that against Joe mixon I'm taking him if I get any pic around 8 He's my RB1 on my team

Great post. MIXON is the LAST 1st round RB to be drafted, maybe CHUBBS but if you can land JACOBS 2nd Round don't be surprised to see RAIDERS JACOBS end up in the 5-10 season ending RB rankings. Jacobs is going to get more receptions also, and the offense will be improved with solid WR's. I pick 7th myself.

Idk if Jacobs will get get more receptions. Or else why resign the backup who’s a pass catching specialist to a 2 year, 7 million dollar deal this off season? I have pick 7 in my draft in a 12 team ppr, and I’m thinking of Jacobs at that spot. But I don’t think he improves much, if at all, on his receptions. But I know I won’t be able to get him if I wait till my 2nd pick rolls around. I’m thinking Mixon, sanders, or CEH (if available) at that spot.

Nick. I love your videos but I have to disagree on Mixon. They don't throw to RBs. If they do they use Gio. So lack off receptions limits his upside. And on top of it he is getting a rushing qb that will steal some of those goal line TDs. On the offense that is pedestrian. Mixon mid 2nd rd rb tops

E. Sanders won't do much with the Saints. Name the last 2nd Saints receiver who was even a Flex starter? Brees hardly ever throws the ball to the 2nd receiver. Hilton is old and susceptible to injury he will be up and down, draft in the same Tier Jags WR CHARK instead. Also draft in same Tier from a powerful offense Dallas WR GALLUP over Edelman who looked very old and slow last year and he now looks more like a possession receiver. ELLIOT MIXON SANDERS, WOODS great picks. If interceptions cost points in your league JONES could be a small problem, but he will be throwing the ball all over the field with that bad Giants defense. The G-Men might start out 0-5 tough schedule.

Falcons offensive run blocking line isn't very good, and that's a concern especially if this thin line with very average backups starts going down with injuries. I like GURLEY, he's not the problem it's the Falcons O-line.

Sure if you like starting a RECEIVING RB who is going to get 3-5 passes thrown to him per game and he catches 3, for 38 yards and then the next two weeks he disappears. That's Hines a guy you can't trust to start other than maybe a fill-in week. Colts Head coach wants to mostly RUN the ball this year. Lots of mouths to feed on this Colts team. Stay with RB TAYLOR he will be the feature guy by midseason but he needs to be careful of his fumbles from college. He's a hell of a load and very fast when he get's off tackle. Have you watched his highlight reel on KZbin? Dude is legit..

He is very risky. Carlos Hyde, though, put up very solid numbers on the ground last year. If David Johnson would get the exact number of carries that Hyde did, he should easily finish as an RB2. David Johnson also has the possibility of getting even more touches, especially in the receiving game.
