Those MoFi's are in such beautiful condition. That Led Zeppelin 2 is gorgeous! I'm glad you are treating yourself to that one. I'm a little jealous that someone else will be getting that Rolling Stones "Some Girls" but I know you have cool VC friends so I will be happy for the lucky person that got that one. Those are going to sell very quickly. Take care.

Hey Melinda, yeah I just had to keep the Led Zep for myself. When will I ever see one like that again? I thought of you on both those Stones albums, and if the other VC member hadn’t grabbed them, I was going to give you first dibs. Sorry.

Hey Billy, The Broadsword And The Beast is one of the best albums Jethro Tull ever released. Slow Marching Band brings tears to my eyes every time I hear the song. Everyone just talks about the progressive albums from the seventies but most don't realize how good the albums from the eighties are.

Glad none of this is my cup of tea or I would be heartbroken. Lol Reason I say that is because even though I'm not a fan of 95% of these bands/artists shown it doesn't mean that I'm not aware of how quick these are gonna go. So to those that miss out, I feel your pain. I've been there before and I'll be there again! As a metal/shoegaze/alternative collector I face this pain on a regular! GOOD LUCK!

@@BillyHurst Yeah I ordered some great vinyl from you all about a month ago. Can't remember just what because I've ordered from like 5 different places, lol. But it was either metal or shoegaze or The Cure or The Doors. Could have been Madonna and Oasis as well. But yeah, great stuff and look forward to ordering again! I'm Jason from Georgia. Cheers!

Sorry to be the dumbass, what’s mo-fi? I get mobile fidelity, but what’s it mean? Also what are the coloured strips along the top? Oh! My Dark side, Sticky, Some girls, & the 4 LZ albums are all mint. That’s good news!

They are audiophile pressings meaning they were pressed using the Original Studio Tape as a source for the laquers...They just sound better but they are usually more expesive as well....Like that Zeppelin II will set you back a couple hundred bucks if not more (More than likely more its still sealed!!) . They are usually highly sought after. Some people collect every Mo Fi released. Highly collectable and hold their value if you take care of them.
@hardmoney8560

why are you promoting records that you won’t sell to the people that watch your videos online? Or records that you’ve already sold or other people that you’re connected to? If you were just a record collector making fun videos of your collection, I would get it… But you apparently run a record store. And you’re right about Mike at the In-Groove.. he is terrific, mainly because he does videos of killer vinyl he has For Sale to anyone that wants to buy. Not just people who live in Phoenix, AZ. Just a thought.
@BillyHurst
@BillyHurst 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. If you watch most of Mike’s videos you’ll see that he does exactly what I’m doing, and Dillon at Noble Records, as well as many other record stores do...we all sell and ship new vinyl all the time, to everyone. I could sell every bit of this used stock in a week online and ship it out all over the world, but then where does that leave me and the state of used vinyl in my community in 5-10 years? Everything will be dried up because we shipped it out all over the place. Also, what’s the point in having a brick and mortar shop if you’re just going to sell everything online? I didn’t say I wasn’t offering these items to my viewers, what I said was that I wanted to offer them to my locals first. Most people understand this, sorry that you don’t.
@hardmoney8560

@@BillyHurst I’ve watched a lot of Mike’s and Dillon’s videos respectively. Dillon never does videos on records that he already sold to other people. his videos do promote is upcoming used vinyl stock at his brick and mortar store, and he makes that clear up front that local is his focus. Most of mikes videos are on new audiophile stock, or shoot outs. And btw, Mike sells used vinyl online too or you can just give him a call. Check out his site. Anyhow, it’s your business...and the nice thing is you can run it however you want. But a lot people will watch you talking about how that you sold off a records to a vinyl community pal with the inside track and not think that’s very cool. Those folks might be local too, and they probably won’t say anything. They just won’t come back. My two cents

@@hardmoney8560 I appreciate the response and you being frank. I guess I could have lied to everyone and told them they were available and then fielded phone calls and emails for weeks, or not showed them, but that’s why we are all here...TO SHOW (and look at) RECORDS. Customers can get mad if they want, but it’s a story as old as the dawn of time, there are people that (fortunately or unfortunately, just depends on how you look at it) get first opportunity at things. That’s life...and that’s also business. Trust me, the VC member that purchased these didn’t get a “buddy price”. He came to me with a solid offer literally a day before I made the video. It’s really no different than if I were to purchase a killer collection like that and show it off in a video then say none of these are for sale because they are going into my personal collection. It happens all the time, and Mike and Dillon do it just like everyone else does. I really don’t want to argue this point with you any longer. I get your point, but you have to see where I’m coming from. I make VC videos to show records to people who enjoy seeing them. At the same time, yes I am promoting a business, but in the end the KZbin videos are about getting people talking and excited about vinyl records and everything that goes along with it. Have a great rest of your day and a Happy Easter.

@@hardmoney8560 He's a businessman as well as a man with a passion for vinyl, a passion that he will of course share with friends of his. If I ran a store and found a piece that a good friend of mine had been looking out for, why shouldn't I be able to give them a shot at it first? It's an easy transaction, you know its going to a place where it will be cherished and looked after, and just like any other collectable item its a case of who you know as well as where you go. To the uploader, I'm loving the videos, you do whatever you want with your stock, I'm watching from the UK and have no quarrels with what you're doing. People will always find a reason to nitpick and find issues with what you're doing, you could be donating 100% of proceeds to charity and there would be someone saying that your shirt was the wrong colour while doing it!
