You DONT and never have needed a 'Return' ticket...you need an onward flight ticket...you can book a cheap ticket to Vietnam/Cambodia that costs $30 rather than paying hundreds for a return flite you may never use.

Thank you for this very useful information. I was in the process of applying for an STV until I watched your vlog and realized that I should have been applying for the TR visa. As you mentioned, the STV visa requires health insurance, which is quite difficult to get. So I have now applied for a TR visa and will change over to the O visa when I get to Thailand. Thanks again! This happened to me in January during the whole thai pass ridiculousness. They asked for a return flight and I didn’t have one. I simply booked a flight at the gate and canceled it while waiting at my test and go hotel. They did not ask for it at immigration when entering BKK. I guess they assumed I had one since they let me board in LAX. In retrospect I believe I could have showed them anything that looked correct as the first agent seemed very concerned and the second just glanced at my phone as if it wasn’t really a concern.

Thank you Khun Jang for the useful information, So entering Thailand with TR visa is required to show a reservation at a hotel or a condo contract ! It’s like they don’t require TM6 but they still require the same information within TM6 !

Yeah they ask Me about the Return Flight Ticket, That's why I always make a Reservation Return within 60 Days (Not an Issued ticket) so that if they ask me I can Show to them, and I have My ticket keep it for my Self

You can get 90 days by applying TR visa first and get extend 30 days after arrive Thailand 🇹🇭 However you must be at your country while applying the visa

From last I read, yes. The place you leave from they usually check before you board the flight to Thailand. When I landed in Bangkok, they didn't check anything, just my visa at immigration.

Depends on the consulate/embassy processing your TR visa. LA consulate does require R/T tix within first 60days of TR.

You only need an onward flite ticket it doesnt need to be a return ticket. Just book a cheap $30 ticket to vietnam/cambodia. So if you dont use it its no major loss
