I just voted for the first time a few days ago - turned 18 just a few months ago. I was totally nervous about doing it wrong, or not knowing where to go, or how to press the buttons, or whatever, but it turned out to be a little silly because it was not as big a deal as I was making it out to be. Please, go vote!

I helped work my local polling station today. My duties included double checking voter registration and explaining how the machines worked. I just wanted to say to you and anyone else who's young who might be nervous to vote, believe me, it would be a pleasure to help you out! There was such a fantastic energy in the air, and it was one of the few times I've felt truly patriotic, and the best part was showing newly registered voters the ropes. I was keeping track of the number of people who voted and every time we got another 100 we all cheered. I promise, no one who's working a polling place will judge anyone asking for help or who doesn't know who to vote for or what button to press or whatever. We even have voter information packets on hand just for those situations. We all volunteered for it (actually, at least in my state, all the people working there are elected officials who had to run for office) and we're all genuinely excited to lend a hand. Every young person should definitely get out there and have their voices heard! I realize this is late for any state in the current election but every single election is important! Go out and vote in the primaries in May if you've got them!

Yeah, too late. They're already in production, which almost always runs overtime. Scheduling is organised in pre-prod. Now all they can do is play catch-up and hope the weather etc behaves.

It's effing bananas seeing this become a thing that is happening. TFIOS was surreal enough to see adapted into a movie, but by the time TFIOS came out, Nerdfighteria and John's career had grown into something that was undeniably becoming a Thing. Paper Towns came out much earlier, and I associate it with memories of a much smaller, more nascent community. I don't even want to think about how weird (awesome, but weird) it's going to feel once even earlier novels eventually get adapted.

It resonated with me a lot, not specifically about voting really, but just the little everyday things in my life that I get irrationally nervous about and therefore put off/avoid doing. I always want to do the easiest thing and it always feels like a conscious effort to break out of that, and it always feels like it goes unnoticed by the world around me. Since then, I'd like to think I've gotten better at complexly imagining people, and whenever I catch myself... well... forgetting to be awesome in that sense, I always try to go back and re-imagine the person as I would wish to be imagined (as a multifaceted person without any one singular pigeon-hole into which I would fit).

Well it helped me when I was going through the loss of my grandpa, I took the book with me when my family and I were at the hospital the last week of my grandpa's slow decline, I read the book going with my mom to help with the funeral arrangements, and I stayed the whole month at my grandma's helping my mom make everything right at her house again that book was with me through it all. I finished the book right when the airplane landed when I finally went home. And that was when I was able to move on. I owe the book a lot. Thanks John.

OMG thank you for filming here, in North Carolina. Finally I can brag that Paper Towns is filming here! Nothing really exciting happens in North Carolina (I'm mainly talking about Concord (a city in the Charlotte Area that may be more boring than Charlotte) that will make everyone be like wow I want to go there, besides the beautiful landscapes and NASCAR and museums if your a historic person (This is also coming from a person who lived in California so its a big difference). To be fair, drinking is like the only thing you can't do at 18. You can vote, you can join the military, you can drive two years before that, you can live on your own, you can get married without your parent's consent, and more things. Basically anything goes except alcohol.

I think deciding weather or not you would kill people on command or who you think the leader of your country should be takes a lot more maturity than drinking alcohol. I mean you can drive at 16... that's like, hey you are in control of this metal beast that you could easily kill people with (don't even get me started on gun laws) but we trust you. Alcohol however; no way, it's too dangerous to let you deal with that kind of responsibility until you're at least 21. Like I said... very weird.

I think Cara Delevingne is amazing and a very friendly person, so it's surprising how she doesn't want to be in the video because usually she's so mellow and friendly with everyone

I think cara will do an amazing job, she's been in a movie before and she's probably got the best personality in the world- I think people are being too hard on her :s she's one of my favourite models, not just because she's beyond beautiful but because of her personality. there's a lot of interviews out there with cara and I suggest watching some because she is HILARIOUS!

Is it just me, or did there seem to be a TON of build up to the TFIOS movie (lot's and lot's of blog updates about it possibly being picked up, it got picked up, how pre-production was going, then being on set), and yet the Paper Towns movie seemed to happen almost immediately with no build up whatsoever? Like, there wasn't nearly as much discussion about it possibly being made and then it getting made. Am I the only one who feels this way?

It's such a coincidence that the last book of Johns I was to read was Paper Towns. One day in Easons I picked up a copy because it was on special offer...I began to read and I was hooked! Then that same day I read a tweet from John about The Black Santas (I can't quite remember the specifics), I didn't even know it was being made into a movie. Congratulations John, you deserve this and more :)

I've been marathoning all the Vlogbrothers videos and it's insane, thinking that at the start of this Paper Towns was being written and was titleless. Then it got released, there was the Tour de Nerdfighteria, John writing the Paper Towns screenplay, Best Wishes, John writing another book, that book being turned into a movie, and now here. And I still have a little over two years left.
