The first thing i bought from lmr was new nuts and bolts for my control arms, they sent me the wrong hardware, i called them about it and they asked for photos of the new hardwares length for the control arms (far too short) and within like two days i got the correct ones right away without dealing with any lame RMA processing. Thanks guys! Cant wait to do more business and make my car last forever!

Just recently got the SVE clutch cable replacement from LMR... shipped in 1 day... Since I live in Austin Tx, just an hour from their warehouse in Waco. Just simply amazing... shifts and drives amazing and feels like a brand new car. I have a 2003 Cobra with 38k miles. Install only took 24 minutes. Completely satisfied. 😻I highly suggest to lube the sleeve with motor oil or WD40... And keep it lubed every 2 months or so. It will prolong the life of the cable... Once it binds up because of improper lubrication... Could tend to the ball snapping off at the clutch pedal. Hope it helps someone. ❤

Some tips I want to give -take out driver seat first - feed the new cable following the old one before you take the old one out completely -the screws on my kit didn’t fit right in because they were a bit thicker then the hole, I didn’t need to drill just screw them in all the way without the fire wall adjuster on to widen the holes to size, other then that everything should go smoothly
@johnvilla2290 Жыл бұрын
Also gotta thank you guys in LMR the parts literally fit right in , it made everything go better then I imagined you guys are great 😁

the factory Quadrant has the spring. Once the spring is removed there is a gap. In the past I have filled that gap with washers.

My 01 3.8 clutch had all sorts of problems- release fork was rattling, shifting was rough especially n to 1st, and clutch pedal was heavy as hell. Never had a car with a cable clutch before but I replaced my cable with an adjustable one and it's so much better. The old cable was stretched so bad there was like 1/2" slop in the release fork.

This will break lesser men. The hardest part is the quadrant. Just keep at it, and get that clutch pedal as far down as it goes to get everything on and off.

🃏This is such a BLESSING 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 That factory plastic quadrant is the WORST idea ever. I'm so glad that mine failed in the driveway. I have to admit tho, the last one lasted over 6years...maybe 🤔. Your videos are very helpful, but what about the spacers that you need on the aluminum quadrant underneath so that it’s straight and not wobbling around everywhere ?? everywhere else I’ve seen there is spacer that goes on first before the quadrant or you just use washers

-89 LX. Remove the driver seat and also take their mounting bracket off and switch it with the stock bracket so the exhaust does not melt your new cable. Also DO NOT unscrew the adjustable device apart to see how it works, DO NOT.

You'll pull the rubber band off once the cable is secure and everything in in place. This is just to make it easier when conducting the install.

Okay, best I can tell this quadrant kit is not being installed on a fox body. If it were it’d be much more in depth. Under the dash on a fox body there’s almost no room to work, and the small gear doesn’t just pop off that easy. I’ve done two on a fox body, and they can be a nightmare. You pretty much gotta get a lot of stuff out of your way to install the quadrant on a fox.
