I found it interesting he stated the exact reasons I replaced the stock drive shaft in my 1990 Mustang LX Sport 5.0L with this Alum. unit. Vibration was annoying the crap out of me and the saving in extra weight was also a deciding factor. Interesting side note: This Alum. Drive Shaft can be found in AWD Ford Aerostar mini vans, but with a different slip yoke.

I bought a 88k mile 2004 v6 Automatic from IAA I got really lucky 1400$ in total only downside was the stock driveshaft would vibrate into higher speeds at 75mph+ and then would stop vibrating at 68mph and drive normal, so I decided to buy this type of aluminum driveshaft, please listen if you have a v6 Automatic change the stock yoke to the aluminum one your tranny will leak bc the yoke on the aluminum is jus a little thinner than stock other than that acceleration is crazy fast it is a good performance bolt on

Hi Mike, We do not offer custom lengths. You will have to go through a custom performance shop for different sizing.

my 2002 gt driveshaft is hitting my passenger side exhaust. Have you ever heard of this happening before

I checked my u joints and they seem fine. I was told that my driveshaft must have become unbalanced some how. the vibrating started after having the tires replaced. Drove off the lot and the car started shaking, I figured just needed to have the tires balanced again but after a road force balance only thing found is that the exhaust has left scratches in my driveshaft.
