Couldn’t agree more! I have a 2008 Mustang Bullitt, and I really enjoy driving it and LOVE the way it looks. And I too find it very comfortable. Look, our love of cars shouldn’t always be about comparing and competing, but about the experience. Car reviewers and journalists drive a lot of VERY nice and expensive cars, so of course when they get in an older Mustang they are going to pick on the interior and the handling. But I personally like older, more retro, more analogue and mechanical things, and my ‘08 Bullitt is the nicest car I’ve owned. And the most fun! So when someone says the interior sucks, that’s very subjective. Maybe to them it does, but I love it! No matter how expensive a car, there will always be another car that is better in some way, whether faster in a straight line, faster at the track, better tech, more comfortable - so trying to get the “best” car is an endless endeavor. We may as well enjoy a car for what it is. :)

Great point about bringing up not being the fastest. For us who want a well rounded car and enjoy the look of it is much more important.

I just traded my 01 I had for 21 years ( mint condition) for an 08 mustang with 28,000 miles on it ! Love the sound and light change option on the dashboard. I’m mid lifing it to the olde town road lol . Have to get the water cabin leak looked into . Don’t understand why ford continue to make 5 years knowing the issues .

Those gt's are going to hold their value for a long time. Same with the 2010-2013 camaro ss's. The retro and muscle car look is just awesome.

With used car prices going through the roof right now, could also be a good time to re-sell. I'm modding mine but, wouldn't mind moving to a late model Camaro. After all, GM still makes a nice looking retro style car, whereas Ford does not.

I picked up an 06 GT with a 5-speed in the same color a few months ago. Always wanted one since they came out and finally said screw it. So far it’s a lot of fun! I plan to put thousands of miles on it for trips, best of luck with yours

You are right, the stock sound is great. I had a 2006 GT, loved it more than my 2016 GT. (My 2006 got hit). The exhaust “gurgle” with the S197 was better than my 5.0. The retro style of the S197 is the best.

300hp and 320 ftlbs torque isn't low, most cars; even sports cars, you find on the road are anywhere between 260 to 460 hp typically so the 3v is still well within the comp. Plus it's performance punches well above its weight.
@3vReanimated3 жыл бұрын
Straight to the point and clean car man. Should get the stock wing for it, personally think it looks better with it. I just picked up an 05 GT back in July and loving it as well. It is truly my dream car and glad to finally own it. I have a video of mine and the cosmetic mods I did to it on my channel, I call her Deathstang 2.0, because I use to own a '98 that looked murdered out like my S197 :P. Good luck with yours!

@@michaeltabanao9014 thx 645 hp sounds nice until you factor in gas reliability and not to mention that is a 7-8 year old car and you’ll never know how the last person used it maybe a track car pushing hard or just a weekend driver from the owner before and what they even replaced and maintained , but a 2018 standard GT pushing 460hp and one owner less than 2,000 miles barely used for almost 20k less Is a steal

Had a 2012 V6 Premium, and honestly it was pretty sweet. However, that 2005-2009 V8 sound is amazing, and I'm really curious about the 5 speed tremec and its feel. The 6spd mt-82 wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good enough in the end in terms of smooth engagement in the low gears. Also don't know about the 05-09 clutch, but I had to install a clutch pedal extender, because that travel was blowing out my calf!

Is it a good first car for a 19 year old going to college?
@raulmartinez34843 жыл бұрын
I used an 05 Mustang GT during my college years. I bought it for roughly $14,000 with over 70,000 miles. It is a great car to drive around, but it is a gas guzzler in comparison to today's cars. It got on average 17 miles per gallon. When it came to moving out, my Mustang was not able to fit much stuff so I had to rent a pickup truck from U-Haul. In short, I wouldn't say it is a good first car for a 19 year old going to college. I still have my Mustang, but I placed it as a Non-Op vehicle after I bought a BMW F Series vehicle, which saves me a ton of money on fuel.
