Here's my 'tard plub memory. We saw them in East Lansing, and the guitar broke a string. So while they're changing the string, they're kind of playing some goofy funk, and the singer jokingly asks if anyone in the crowd can rap. This kid jumps on the stage, grabs the mic, and he is *awesome*. Awesome. Totally nails it. Raps with the band for quite a while. They fix the guitar string, and the singer takes the mic back and says, "How do follow THAT?!?!" It was so unexpected that this random kid in the audience would just kill it. Mustard Plus is a lot of fun live.

You can see it in a couple of episodes in the earlier seasons. He also has a poster of the "Take Action Tour" which is also a Hopeless Records thing. As stated in the show, Ted, Marshall, and Lily graduate in '98 (if I'm not mistaken) so Mustard Plug putting this out in '97 would fit the timeframe for Ted's obligatory ska interest in college.

Well Mustard Plug played the raise the band queen song so I pick up Sightly Askews (different band) lead singer girlfriend. She was wearing a skirt. Now normally when someone wants to be in the crowd surf they go to the corner and ball up lean back than float across the room to the other end. I got no help in trying to lift my friend, she was just up for no reason. XD good times

Went to see them in a room that was a box of concrete, it was comically overpacked, it started raining condensed sweat from the sealing in the middle of the show, the slam space was half the people there just packed dancing like an ocean of bodies. They were the middle band before Planet Smashers, when they did their patented surfing in tofino split the room, bro could barely fit down to make a lane, that was just ridiculous. Early 2000's were a different time.
