Actually in the US there is a clear separation of powers. Executive - Job is to run the Government based on Laws of the nation Legislature - Job is to draft laws and legislate and importantly FUND the government Judiciary - Make sure that the laws are followed and judged upon. The head of the executive is directly elected by the people of the region. So for the President, all US Citizens will vote for him/her across all states and even overseas like Army bases, DPOs, FPOs etc. Similarly for the Governor, it is the people who reside in the State. I will restrict to Central/Federal level going forward. I will get to vote for up to 3 people at the same time President Congress Rep Senator (Going forward I will restrict to the "Central"). Then we have Legislature, similar to MPs but again these are also directly elected by the people. There are 2 here. HOUSE and SENATE. House is purely based on districts and population similar to the number of MPs in each state in India. So our Loksabha is very akin to the US House of Representatives. Then we have the SENATE which is not at all like Rajya Sabha. SENATORS - 2 per state irrespective of the population. They too are elected directly by the People. This leads to real wierd situtations. By area, the largest state in the US is Alaska but it also has the one of the least population. So it has only 1 House Rep but has 2 Senators 😀 The President's Cabinet is Appointed by the President and none of them are elected.That is the reason they are called "SECRETARY" and not "MINISTER". They are first confirmed by the SENATE in a majority and then periodically need to report back to the respective committees in both the House and the Senate periodically. So a "MP" cannot be a "Minister" but can as a part of Congressional committee, a) Fund the ministry b) Get periodic reports from the Cabinet Secretary Add to it each of them have different terms. President 4 years, House Rep - 2 years, Senator - 6 years that would cause a lot of churn. So sometimes all 3 will be in 1 party's hands or we will have a split case a lot of the time, especially in mid terms. Obama, Bush, Trump and Biden also faced that. Ironically, Bhimrao Ambedkar, the chief drafter of the Indian Constitution lost the 2 elections after his constitution was enacted in practice would have had very little to worry about if it were the US as he would have been an Attorney General without worrying about votes... 😛

Election கமிஷன் மற்றும் நீதிமன்றாங்களுக்கு எனது வேண்டுகோள். EC இன்னும் இந்த mechine ஐ modernise ஆக்கவேண்டும் அத்துடன் comnersilaise செய்யவேண்டும்... அதாவது நாம் எப்படி செயற்கை கோலேல்களை ஏவு வதை commercial ஆக செய்தோமோ அதே போல மற்ற நாடுகளின் தேர்தல்களை நமது EVM களை பயன்படுத்தி நடத்தப்பாடவேண்டும் அதாவது நமது EVM களையும் Technical employee களையும் comnercial ஆக மற்ற மற்ற நாடுகளுக்கு அனுப்பி அங்கும் நமது EVM மூலம் அந்த நாடுகளில் தேர்தல் நடத்தி EC ம் லாபமீட்டும் துறை யாக மாற்றவேண்டும் அத்துடன் எம்பிளாய்மென்ட் opportunity யும் பெருக்க வேண்டும்
