Whatching this footage, I can feel the frustration and anxiety in these sessions. Most folks have no clue what a grind the recording and writing process can be. And these guys are masters of their craft. Nothing but respect. 15:28

It’s 2023 and I still come back to watch this. It’s because of this video I found out about Forte, the song at the end of the video. And it has since become my favorite instrumental piece ever. I really hope all 4 of the OG Mutemath members are doing well. They were way ahead of their time.

Whether they see it themselves or not, these guys are some of the most talented and significant musical minds of our era. I'm sure this is just a glimpse into what an onlooker could never possibly comprehend in regards to the amount of work put into each track; however, the final product that Mutemath creates is simply awe-inspiring. The uniqueness, lyrical content and overall sound of what these guys produce is something a word could never describe. I feel grateful to be alive during the time in which Mutemath produces music. Oddly enough, I was listening to their newest single, "Monuments" and KZbin suggested this video (Armistice is my favorite Mutemath LP, although I love them all). Ironically, I'm watching and half glance down at my shirt only to realize I'm wearing a Mutemath tee. Ha, irony. Love you guys, been with you since the beginning and can't wait for "Vitals." I can't even imagine the blood, sweat and tears put into it but I can tell you two things for certain; I cannot wait to hear the album and I'm looking forward to hearing it live.

In 2004 I was 15. My dad wanted to see Switchfoot and Mutemath opened for them. The energy in the room is still unmatched and nothing has ever felt as intense than that opening moment to Chaos. They were on another level it seemed. Ironically they got put into a Christian rock tour by WB and they sued the company for misrepresentation but it was one of those accidents that had to happen. The headliners were dwarfed in comparison but everyone felt it and the whole audience was in awe. I bought the album and their music has been in my life ever since. That's why we can't let live music die. The art of inspiration must be kept alive.

I’m a music head! From Bach, to Metallica, to Pat Metheny, to Brazilian Music…I worked at Arista Records at the peak of the pre-stream music industry, and at Virgin Megastore Times Square, with some of THEEEE biggest music heads in the world! I feel so grateful to have witnessed these guys play live together multiple times. I discovered them around 2010? @ the Electric Factory in Philly when they opened for Thirty Seconds To Mars. They absolutely blew me away. I remember watching Darren wrap his head in tape, and thinking "wtf?, my man isn't playing around". You know something interesting is about to happen when you see a drummer start tapeing his headphones around his whole face, and head haha. They were focused, and played tight. They sounded so good, and instantly became a "must see" band for me. I went on to see them several more times as the headliner. I would even do Philly, and Baltimore on the same tour. As great as their albums are, they were on a whole other level playing live. If you like/love a band, Go.. See them live! Don't assume they will be around forever. Life happens, and "Changes" happen. Appreciate the music , support the bands you love, and Go See Them! Who knows, maybe we'll all get lucky 1 day and see the return of the mighty Mutemath. They have my support, and I'll be ready if it happens

I'm just now realizing I've had the opportunity to spend 5 immensely lucky nights spanning over 11 years with a bunch of musical geniuses. Armistice has layers and layers of music attached to it. Those rhythmic pieces come one after another, they circle from every angle. You find sounds and mash them together to make orchestra. Everyone past and present has made this band devoutly special.
