Sir in UTI there are different types Of nifty 50 Eg. Direct growth, divident, active etc.. please suggest lowest expense ratio fund and do a video of the types.
@InvestmentInsightsTamil4 жыл бұрын
Good Question. Each mutual funds have different options to invest in the same fund. Direct - buying the fund directly thru the fund house. In this case thru UTI itself. Expense ratio is cheapest when you buy direct. UTI is charging 0.1% for direct investments. Regular - buying the same fund through brokerages like ICICIDirect. For this they are charging 0.17%. Within Direct and Regular they have three other options - which does not differ in their expense ratio. 1. Dividend Payout - The fund will pay out the dividends from the underlying stocks to your account. 2. Dividend Reinvestment - The fund reinvests the dividends to buy more mutual fund shares. You will see the number of shares of mutual funds in your account increasing little bit every quarter depending on the dividends from underlying shares. 3. Growth - The fund uses the money from dividends to buy more underlying shares that would ultimately result in growth of the value of the fund. In this option your # of shares of mutual fund will remain the same, but the value of each share would increase as the dividends are used to buy more shares.
@SneakyNinja4 жыл бұрын
@@InvestmentInsightsTamil thank you for the detailed answer. How to apply for the direct uti fund. I can understand 1st and 2nd points But in the third point if the divident is reinvensted in stock means, why the nav remains the same? If the stock increased means NAV aslo should increase right? Can u please explain difference beteeen 2 and 3 with example? I am planning for long term i.e 10 years, which one will be the good option please suggest sir thanks.
@InvestmentInsightsTamil4 жыл бұрын
To buy it directly, you have to open an account with them directly: www.utimf.com/portal/signup For third point, NAV will grow with the value of the assets. What I said was, number of shares of mutual fund will remain the same as opposed to option #2.

In US, Many funds need a minimum investment to buy an Index based mutual fund. For example, Vanguard's total stock market Index (VTSAX) needs $3,000 minimum investment. Same can be bought as an ETF (VTI) with less amount. For our purpose, any long term holdings can be in mutual fund version and any short term holdings can be in ETF version.

Is there a reason for it other than the minimum amount criteria for investment? Also for the future investment which one is better VTI / SPY? Please share the difference?
@InvestmentInsightsTamil Жыл бұрын
1. The difference is very minor. Go with whatever is convenient for you. 2. VTI is a representation of whole US stock market as it has close to 3500 companies. Performance wise they both are almost the same. You cannot go wrong with either of them.

Hi Sir, Investing directly in corporate debenture bonds or equity shares are limited to availability. But while investing in mutual funds we are not able to see those restrictions. If cumulative AUM of all the mutual funds invested are too far beyond the true or intrinsic value of corporates' (or) far beyond the capital needs of corporates, will there be an artificial rise in NAV due to the demand created by huge cumulative AUM, competing by different MF houses to buy the same securities. Is there any check in SEBI to avoid this? Is there any online tools to measure the total capital demand of specific corporate and cumulative investment made by MF houses on that specific corporate. Please reply.
