Hi sip or lumpsum. Mostly all recommending a sip. But anyhow market's will be increasing in long term right. So both is not a issue from my point of view .means if we have money we can invest in lumpsum in index right. If you give your views it will be helpful.

Thats the standard recommendation without worrying about the type of user as it works great for anyone. It all comes to how much drawdown you can handle in market downturn. The debt will give that cushion. Depending on your comfort level, you have to choose the % good for you.

Hi Sir, I am planning for long term investment in index via ETF (market) . I had noted one of your comment to go with mutual fund (nav) instead of directly buying the index in market (etf). Can you give more detail on this Sir? Will it help to get better liquidity while I sell? Will there be any different expenses ratio? Would like to see your response on this. Thank you.

For long term investing mutual fund is better as the end of the day NAV value will be dependent on assets. But with ETF, as it trades in real time, the price of it might be higher than the mutual fund. That is why it is recommended to buy a mutual fund rather than the ETF. If you are buying once, ETF is OK as the price difference will be minimal. But if you are planning on doing every month, it might not be a good idea to go with the ETF. Hope this makes sense.
