righto. sob story time. there is... was this girl (let’s call her beanie) and i liked her for so, so long. like, half my school life. and i knew that she was straight, and i didn’t want to force myself on her or confess my feelings. i tried to move on by telling myself i had a crush on this other girl (grog). anyway, turns out grog liked me back, so i asked her out and she said yes. it was wonderful, we would text all the time and hug every day. eventually, i got the guts to tell my mum about her. she accepted me so easily, which was awesome. i was so happy. but, as soon as i finished my ‘coming out’ speech, she asked me, ‘but what about that beanie girl?’ immediately i got stuck on her again. i just... i don’t know how to describe it. i wanted to like grog, and be with grog, but i wanted beanie more. and, lucky for me, it hasn’t stopped.

I can really relate to this.. So I used to like a girl, and I literally would do anything for her. We were best friends from kindergarten. I remember standing up to a guy who took her lunchbox. My "friends" would tease me about liking her. It was fine, until 4th grade and me being the immature boy I was, said I hated her. I really love creating worlds with words, most of the stories I make are based of my friends. When I’m tired I like to imagine stories of my friends, a dream I can control perhaps. For about 3/2 years I’ve liked this boy. Originally I completely denied the idea, especially since I’ve known him so long. Since preschool, amazing how we’re still alright friends. But anyways, I finally accepted it after a year and even told a few of my friends. He’s my first crush and I always liked to imagine us dating or him just caring for him. He moved schools in 2019, we’re still neighbors and he’s coming back in 2021. Now that I think about it, I barely remember him. He was always closed off, never wanting to text or talk not at school. He liked scary movies and games. I remember times he was nice and sweet but it’s a friend thing. I don’t know if I like him anymore, kinda glad for the distance since he’s probably one of my least problems now and I don’t even know if I like him. I miss him as a friend, just somebody to laugh with.

Well seeing all these sad stories here, I guess I’ll tell mine.... well I liked this girl for about a year, right. She had a girlfriend for a small portion until they broke up because the girlfriend’s parents were homophobic. Well after a couple of months she told me she liked me. First girlfriend, first date, first kiss, you know the drill. She was pretty, and elegant, and organized, and I.... was not. But still! It was nice, until it wasn’t. She was stressed, and asked to take a break for a little bit. So I complied. We went on a date right before Valentine’s Day and she told me she didn’t have feelings for me anymore... and that we were better as friends. She said she wanted it to feel “natural”, whatever that meant. Ironic, considering one of the first things she said she liked about us was that it felt natural. I get crushes very slowly. And she loses them fast I guess. It sucks seeing her everyday at school, talking to other girls. I feel used, unwanted and unlovable. So I just. Don’t talk to her anymore. It’s been a little less than a month. I just wanted a girlfriend man. I sacrificed so much of my time and mental energy on her only for her to lose feelings. I feel so dumb, like a rebound. Why would you get in a relationship if you lose feelings easy? And take out anger on others. tl:dr: First girlfriend broke up with me unceremoniously after losing feeling for me in less than 4 months.
