I respect Aldon as a coach and the racers he has worked with but I think there is more to be gained from strength training. The need to constantly Smash body weight or lightweight exercises isn't essential. Imagine how easy these exercises would be if you were able to get Twice as strong at the same body weight, and use interval training to help your conditioning :) movement and flexibility is also another massive key principal to transfer over to the bike but I understand the video is only a short one haha

how many motocross champions have you trained?

Riding ability isn't dictated by a strength and conditioning coach. Sure, some coaches have worked with super high caliber racers and that is really awesome! But a strength coach doesn't make someone a fast rider, it boosts whats already there. Name all the top riders in any race and chances are they would still be quick if they had a different strength coach, like many of the pro motocross racers have :)

Andrew Hammer He knows what works for the sport. Plenty of people have tried extreme strength training and it clearly isn't the way to go. Its an endurance sport, its constant random muscle stimulation the entire 35 minute moto. You're not gonna be doing a clean and jerk with a dirt bike lol.

I'm not implying extreme strength training is the way it needs to be done, but i believe it needs to be part of a racers program. It is an endurance sport, except with a 90kg to 110kg bike plus bodyweight. In my opinion, absolute strength needs to be part of the focus because of this. Its not like cycling or running or swimming where you are dealing with just bodyweight or a 10kg cycling bike, its 100kg! A clean and jerk would benefit racers because it teaches the racer explosive hp extension, exactly what is happening on the bike. Im not saying it is the only thing they should be working on, but absolute strength should be a focus. Imagine being twice as strong as you are now, at the same bodyweight. How would the 100kg bike feel on race day? :)

+Andrew Hammer actually a lot of riding ability is dictated by strength and conditioning, if you don't have the proper training your not gunna be able to handle to bike and sure as hell not gunna be able to last the 30+min motos
