Happy Sunday from Canada 🇨🇦 Thank you once again for a lovely video. Today is so chilly and most definitely a get-down-and-cozy kind of day. Please, you mentioned using castor oil in your lamp. I would love to know your take on this. I’ve never heard tell of using this oil in a lamp. Very intrigued! Thank you for a sweet video to watch as I enjoy my warm cuppa tea. Have a lovely and cozy day🧡

I’ve started making my own candles using left over wax as well as soya wax I bought (also have a pillar candle mould on the way). I have an Egloo terracotta heater I like to use and the powdered wax or tea lights are great for that. I don’t use beeswax as I’m vegan so prefer other non-petroleum based waxes from plants where neither planet nor creature is exploited. I too like a warm big throw to snuggle under. I’ve started doing The Miracle Morning again, to get up early and set aside an hour for personal development this includes mantra medication (Deva Premel) as well as reading, affirmations, a 30 day photographing challenge and of course candlelight, proper hygge mornings. I’m really into Autumn 🍂 tidying opposed to Spring cleaning. I call it getting winter ready, so I can semi hibernate 😆 Same with the gardens and habitats for wildlife (I get a nightly visit from hedgehogs which I capture on my trail cam, see my garden video for a peek) In my neck of the woods in England we call them joggers not tracksuit bottoms. I practically live in them since March/lockdown.

There is nothing homelier and more comforting in my opinion than the smell of something baking in the oven. In fact, some of my most cherished childhood memories are from playing with my sister in my room and suddenly recognising the beloved smell of my mother making pancakes in the kitchen. It was like a big warm hug. Thank you for this video, it is so tranquil and lovely.

On cosy days I enjoy sitting with my crochet or knitting while listening to music and watching videos; also reading with my beautiful golden retriever beside me. It is springtime here in Australia, my favourite season. Our vegetable garden is flourishing with strawberries, tomatoes, and sweetcorn well established. Our passionfruit vine is loaded with green passionfruit and covered in flowers, keeping the bees busy. Nectarines, plums, peaches, and cherries will be ready to pick in December/January, and I am keeping my fingers crossed on my flowering 6 mth old blueberry bush. We have a family of magpies living in the trees next door to us and I love watching mum teach her fledglings how to fly. They are nearly as big as her and she is still feeding them as they hop along the ground chortling their beautiful sounds. Niamh I have so enjoyed this gentle and beautiful video like all your others, and they have taught me so much. Yesterday I made your banana bread for the second time. So delicious! I hope you are staying well and distanced from the worrying new surge of Covid19 in Ireland. Sadly this appears to be our new normal throughout the world and my hope it that it brings us all closer together in a caring humanitarian way. Loving greetings from South Australia. 🌿

Lovely, cozy video...and I'm right there with you with a fire, blanket, candles, hot tea, and a yummy baked treat and a book. We've been stocking our freezer with yummy soups for the winter! Oil lamps are special to my childhood...I have inherited one of my Grandpa's oil lanterns he would take to the barn and hang on a hook in the evenings. It would make the barn feel inviting and enchanting. My Grandma also collected miniature oil lamps. We would fill the lamps and place them down the center of the dining room table surrounded by ivy, evergreens, pinecones and some mini glass tree ornaments for our Christmas Eve dinner. Lovely time of laughter as we dined in the peaceful glow. These oil lamps revive cozy, loving, family memories that I cherish since my Grandparents are no longer around our table. Hope your oil lamp brings peace, comfort, and many cozy family moments for you. Have a snuggly, cozy, simply wonderful day! 😊

Hi dear Niamh from Germany 🙋‍♀️. I know, what it mean when you tell from your grandma and the smelling cake. My grandmothercwas a conectioner with her own cafe and every cake and cooke were homemade. In her baking room and in her cafe there was a lovely smelling. I remember on a special cheese cake of her. My ways to feel cosy are: 1) Baking cookies 2) Having my cat on my knees and look how she sleeps 3) Knitting something 4) Have some tea AND WATCH FAIRYLAND COTTAGE AGAIN AND AGAIN❤ 5) Take a walk in the rain 6) Writing one old fashion letter to a friend 7) Looking to my books on the shelf and read one of them again 8) Hearing to calming piano music on youtube and do nothing. Only enjoy the music. 9) Writing in my gratitude journal 10) Do some meditation in cosy clothes. I send you my best wishes, please stay healthy and be blessed! Big hug from Sabrina from Germany ❤

Thanks Niamh, for another beautiful, calming video. From Saturday I was feeling restless as I wanted Sunday to come so that I can watch ur new video. Around 11am I had checked to see if you have posted any video but later I got busy as quite a few of my Amazon deliveries had come on Sunday and as you know, they need to be disinfected first, but with a four year old at home it is so difficult. At last now I was free to relax and watch ur video which is so destressing. I too love to have hot tea or coffee and watch a nice movie. Ur lanterns reminded me of my granny who always lighted them when there was a power cut. Nowadays u don't see such lanterns at homes. Thanks for helping me relive those nostalgic moments of my childhood.

I've resumed Crossstitch, I absolutely love it and almost fall into a meditative state while doing it, it's a lovely, fairly inexpensive craft to do (I download free patterns online) My late Grandmother did the most beautiful embroidery, she was a very talented needle woman. Sounds rather like your Grandmother in fact, she kept an immaculate home, the tins were always full, and the garden brimming with food and flowers. We'd always come home laden down with fresh lemons from the tree, fresh veggies (always silverbeet) and her prized dahlias. I now also garden, and bake. Very happy to keep those traditions alive 😊

Only you, dear Niamh, could make cleaning silver a cozy activity! I love it. Oh, and I had to listen 3 times to hear 'tracksuit bottoms'. I thought you were saying tracksy bottoms! I am watching this while drinking a freezing cold smoothie, looking around for my slippers and blanket to help me warm up. For me, my favorite cozy is a hot bath with epsom salts, and candles around the bath. I also love a mug of hot tea, and some fragrant and warming soups or stews and pumpkin or other spicy baked goods.

Soft Celtic music ( likeTitanic movie music). I miss visiting heavenly Ireland so much, and all things Irish. So your videos give me a wee bit of lovey Ireland, every week. So would love more soft Celtic video music for background (instead of jazz), and more views of Irish treasures...the lush green in nature. And little Irish home treasures like Irish pewter, Irish linen, Irish crystal . And real Irish meals, like potatoes, scones, tea, or Irish oatmeal. And Irish clothing. (Your special green/blue party dress is just beautiful!). We cannot travel now, so anything really Irish you can show us is like a soothing balm that relaxes us. You are lucky, you live in heaven on earth.

I grew up in California in the mellow comfort of the late seventies. My young mom would sit on the couch surrounded by potted plants, some hanging in soothing macrame. My sis and I would hop on the couch or sit on our very seventies shag carpet for what became our family phrase, "crunchy bunch". This was our word for a mix of cozy and binge-y. We would watch old movies or UK costume dramas and eat chips and homemade guacamole or other snacks and treats. I think that is why we call this cozy time "crunchy bunch". The tradition lives on now that we are nearly fifty and our mom in her early seventies! I send her videos like this for her own "crunchy bunch" time even while she lives in New Mexico and we are in California.

We had our first snow here in our little town in Montana. I should have gone out and shoveled my walk and the sidewalk but my back won’t allow it. Somebody did the sidewalk and the mailman managed to get through so all is well. I let the dog out early (4:00am) and we startled several deer(I live in town!) I laughed and she froze in place! Just love living here. I love oatmeal and blueberries for breakfast. Have been making French onion soup a lot lately with lots of garlic as it’s flu season and I caught a cold. 9 days of misery. Haven’t had one of those in ages! Also I’ve been sewing for weeks now making drawstring bags to put in shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I made 70 so far. Set up my machine and cutting mat in the dining room in front of the big windows that look out on a huge mountain ash tree and the side yard. Right now the birds are so busy in that tree I get quite distracted from my work. And then we(Sophie the dog and Lily the cat) sit and read(well they nap). That’s my cozy story. Nice to talk with you Niamh💕

My idea of cozy is very much like yours. A warm beverage, I'm thinking ginger tea today, sweatpants and sweater, a soft blanket, music and a good book. When I can get some nice firewood, a fire in my fireplace. It is hypnotic and attracting to watch the fire burn. I also enjoy conversations in person or on the phone with my special friends and family. A warm pet is a bonus too.

beautiful tips. as evening approaches I use softer lighting.... shut off strong ceiling lighting and turn on soft lamps and string lights (like Christmas white lights on a string). I also have neighbors that draw the blinds as evening approaches. we love the nature so the blinds are always up. but I know it is a cosy feeling to drawn blinds too. a warm bath is all cosy. natural body oils and some natural essential oils after bath are also lovely. and sometimes can't do a bath, so just putting on a facial and kick back and feel a soft relaxing vibe for that time. or little foot bath to warm up in winter is also super cozy. favorite cozy activities too are doing some therapeutic coloring with music. sometimes sitting in the dark, in summer with the window open and just enjoying the removal of all stimulating screens, and enjoying the sounds of nature can be cosy and nurturing. thanks for asking it's so great to tune into cosy feelings.

I think taking my time with anything is a luxury. With all the social media, sitting with no electronics and doing some old fashioned thinking, daydreaming, remembrance, I have started doing that since the Cvd. How good it feels. And the slowing down. Who would have thought how much that is needed to "recharge" your energy. :)

my nana always had this amazing kitchen - i was little in the 60's - it was tongue and groove green and cream - a gas cooker that always had the kitchen smelling of gas - she always was baking something when mum dad and all us kids arrived - it was warm and cosy with a big long table with drawers at each end - i would watch her cut the bread she made - always wholemeal bread - she would put the bread on its end crust and would butter the top end and cut it across and use the knife to put it on your plate - i cant cut bread that way it always goes wrong - then the roast she would have going - oooooooo the memories - also her bathroom was a horrible pink but tongue and groove also and it fascinated me that her toothpaste was a block of something or other in a tin - then mum would always bake on mondays and coming in from school to that smell of fresh baking - especially in the winter - and i love a blankie to snuggle up in - visitors who have arrived and seen me curled up in a blankie always laugh at me but i know it perfect

Lovely video! A tip to take your banana bread to another level: use over ripe bananas! The more brown, the better. It makes your bread sweeter and just overall more tasty!

Things that make me cozy✨ •I love my crackle wick candles since we don’t have a fireplace. Very relaxing to listen to at night or in the bath with all the lights off • Wrapping up in my warm bed with lots of cool pillows. • putting the electronic down and sitting outside with a cup of coffee and soaking up some fresh air, rain or shine. • Gentle stretching makes me feel so relaxed afterwards. Great for the body too • Diffusing peppermint • I find I’m most cozy when I’m by myself. Where I feel no judgement, just silence to process things with clarity. • Making sure my place is really clean gives me cozy vibes • Deep breathing with my eyes closed • When it snows I feel so cozy sitting inside where it’s warm. The white snow is gorgeous to look at sitting with a soft warm blanket on the couch. Here in Tennessee (where I live) we don’t get much snow. Every time I see snow it brings me back to the excitement of snow from my childhood. • Soft piano instrumentals is also my new thing (Disney peaceful piano on Apple Music is 👌🏻) • lastly prayer/meditation time is my most comforting routine. Where I feel most connected with God and at peace with His intricate plan for me. Feelings of renewal🤍 Thanks for reading!

Really cozy! 💕 I collect my firewood from the garage when I come home from work, first thing I do is to start that fire. Then I light candles too, I have a scented candle I got from a friend. Makes the house smell so nice. But absolutely blanked on a wet and windy Sunday afternoon.

Cozy is my favourite word! Things I find cozy are making warm soups, baking bread, drinking Miso soup in bed, reading a book or listening to an audio book while I curl up in bed with my cat, cooking food for my family, knitting, and wearing warm soft clothes and slippers.

I had an Irish grandmother who came from family of 13 children...and her mother was invalid after giving birth to last baby, so at 13 years old, My grandma became the cook, laundress, housekeeper, as well as, caregiver for Mother and nursemaid for newborn babe. Needless to say, my grandmother had a way in the kitchen...making something wonderful to eat when others wouldnt have known what to fix or do. She made melt in mouth rolls, wonderful soups, roasts and stews. Dessert was pies, scones, cakes and cookies! Her kitchen was warm and cheerful. I also had times in my childhood when my mother was bedridden, so at an early age, grandma taught me "the magic" of cooking and baking for my family of eight. I love every memory of her and I creating meals together. Now, I am in my "grandma years" myself, but it is a fine time whenever family or friends come by and I can make a lovely meal and desserts for them. People have asked what makes my cooking taste so good. I smile and tell them, "the magic ingredient"...is putting the love of your heart into the mixing and blending of each dish.

As for cozy secrets...my home is always sensual...candles glowing, a soft cd of soothing Irish music, cozy fluffy soft socks, a fake fur blanket, a fir crackling (I bought several realistic electric fireplaces and raised their height by building bases for them, adding it and painting fireplaces in soft creme or old faded colors to look old and stately in rooms. You can ad "moulding" or intricate designs by using thin lines of caulking out of a tube or cake icing tip bag filled with caulking. Or even spackling layers over a stencil to build up a design. Then once dry, paint. You can also add some tile to fireplaces too.,I keep a tin of cookies or chocolate nearby a comfy chair or couch too...and live flowering plants in rooms so it feels alive in every room. A bathroom with a clawfoot tub elevates it to spa. Beautiful soft gold framed paintings, fluffy towels and soft robe...all do cozy too! I used Victorian Gone With the Wind style lamps in my bedrooms and parlor and beautiful dishes found at thrift stores set my table with beauty and old world grace., with candles and a vase filled with grocery store bouquet. Cozy embroidered pillowcases on my bed, soft flannel or cotton sheets and comforters or quilts, with a vanity and silver hairbrush and comb set...all create a soft, cozy gentility of yesteryears.

Hello Naimh, love to drink warming spicy tea with zero waste ingredients / things from garden, burn a few natural organic candles from Daylesford, Bamford or St Eval, try to limit heat to our dining and living room while working down there and get nice and cosy while using less heat , vv fluffy socks, long baths, adding warming spices to cooking, and add to skincare and oil burner for all round warming feeling, brisk walk outside to warm up too, some times at Christmas I get the honour of lighting my inlaws lovely natural fire place , I grew up with real fireplace and it’s amazing nothing compares :). Thanks to your inspiration have started listening to more jazz on Sundays - cozy on the ears. Our family in California miss the cozy feeling in autumn as is still hot over there most of the time. We try to eat more raw plant based options of cozy recipes to keep nutrients high too. I was raised on my grandmothers cooking amazing all Mary Berry food fit for the Queen ingredients grown in garden by my grandfather who was retired from farming, my friend saves soo much by living in a blanket in winter in living room and no heating
