One issue I have with this is it is more so directed toward those starting out. I highly advise against rushing candidates to the decision maker when you are at later stages in the game. At a certain point, high volume takes less precedence when you receive more direct placements for executive and management roles. Those deals need to be taken care of, and the client will drop you as soon as you show weakness in many cases. Research is important at all stages in the game.

What I like about this video is that you give ideas and don't try to put yourself in a position as you know all the answers as gurus you can find everywhere. Thanks for not being like that.

Yo, Ben! What are your thoughts on recruiting in different markets (aka outside of the city you're currently in?) I am roadmapping my path to starting an agency recruiting in the software/devops/IT project management space as I have 10 years under my belt working with a variety of different development teams over several industries. In your opinion - is it far fetched to think you could place candidates in, let's say - Boise, ID - while living in Phoenix, AZ? Hypothetical example, but hopefully you get what I am asking. BTW - thanks for all the content - super helpful!

Can you talk about Employer of Record and topics related to Contract opposed to Direct hires?
@BenNader5 жыл бұрын
I have discussed this many times on the channel if you search the search bar for "contract" or "temp" or things like that. My official advice is for people to not get into employing contract workers and being the employer of record until well established with direct hire. I might make another video again soon, but I focus on DH as it's the best way for someone new in recruiting to get clients and make faster money, building up a bankroll to eventually do contract work type stuff.

How long should the recruiter contract with the client be? 60 days? 12 months?
@BenNader4 жыл бұрын
Your question is slightly vague, but you really want your contracts to last as long as possible....if I understand you properly, the longer the contract goes if you're contract staffing....the longer you make money.

How do you do the background check of candidates? What if they also need to be tested for certain knowledge? On average how many ppl you send to client to make a placement?
@BenNader4 жыл бұрын
if you're doing direct hire, the company does all of this, if you're doing temp, then you need to find a drug testing center, a background check company and all of that yourself, on average 3 people to make a placement. This number varies however.
