Reminds me of watching Terrafirma 2 with Doug Henry but was a 125 same year I think? Maybe 93? He jumps outta bed with his gear on and rides the track behind his house after girlfriend or wife? She gives him a sandwich! Lol!!!

Hi Cole. Awesome project. I restored 94 CR250 years ago. What a beast and a blast to ride. Couple of things of note. The rear brake master cylinder is a weak point, it could use a larger protector shroud. Also consider replacing the triple clamps with billet aftermarket ones. You will get more response from the front end. Good luck and great job!

That is a killer bike. I had one and wish I still had it. Bought it new when the model came out. I haven’t been around the dirt bike world for a while but am now finding my way back. I’m a little confused about the forks. Are those some type of aftermarket seal covers? The ‘94 had those vegetable strainer, cage looking ones. They were two piece and screwed together. In 2004 I rebuilt the bike. I tore it completely down. I split the cases and she got a whole new crank assembly, new bearings, top end, and clutch. I then replaced every single bearing. The steering head bearings, wheel bearings, and all the linkage bearings. The forks and shock were rebuilt as well. The bike then got a pro circuit pipe/silencer, Boyesen reeds, and a new air filter. I replaced all the plastic, new tires, cables, new seat cover, bigger foot pegs, and fresh grips for the Renthal bars, and an aluminum throttle tube. In the end, it was better than it was brand new. I still kick myself for not keeping that bike.

Looking good! Can't wait to hear it fired up. I have a 94 CR125 that I race in a vintage motocross club and those era of Hondas are great.

Cole in regard to your front number plate UFO have 2 - 1 fits the 90-94 CR and the other fits 95-99. The earlier model has the bolt hole 45mm from the top of the plate and the later had the bolt hole 25mm from the top of the plate. The UFO part number for the 90-94 starts with 2629 and the 95-99 starts with 2683. The last 3 numbers in the part number refer to the colour. The guys at throttle jockey should have them
@JohnHowerton137 Жыл бұрын
Silly Seely, you can always look at a microfiche to see where the parts go 😉 I had several of these era bikes. Make sure you have a steady supply of seat bolts on hand! I bet I’ve sold more Honda seat bolts than all other bolts combined 🤣 Not only did Honda have 18” rear wheels until 1995, they also tried the 20” front wheel to give compliancy to their always crappy front suspension feel. Even tried a 23” front wheel on XRs if you go way back.

Yes to the seat mounting like that and the random gap below the number plates. Not too sure about the front plate, may have to bust out the 3D printer. Looks great Cole!

You'll like having an 18 for the woods and the dunes if you take it out there. You can run a bit of a fatter and more side wall tire with the 18. I have a huge 18" paddle tire that we ran on a friends 93 cr500 in the dunes.

Pro Tip: Don’t spray anything on that vinyl seat or it’ll be a loopout edit! All of us riders from the 80-90s era have had a Armor All incident. 😂 All of us PNW riders who rode in the wet got Devol Gripper seats as soon as that was a new thing.

Looks great! Love what you’re doing with content, always…I thought those two fender spacers you got would be for the rear, and it would space out the side plates to put the seat brackets behind the side plates?

94 number plates had that gap. 95 number plates are a lil different and dont have that gap. Newer ones will fit. But requires you to drill a hole in your airbox
@crnobrnd Жыл бұрын
True: they changed the plates in 95. Though I'm pretty sure the corresponding Edge on the Airbox should fit each models plates. It might be possible, that Cole's bike has a newer (95-96) Airbox!?!
