Sounds better, not to loud just enough rumble. Off subject but worth noting: on my 04 9-5 Aero the oil pan and surrounding area was saturated with leaking oil, Thought my oil pan gasket was leaking ended up being the oil pressure switch. Replaced and no more leak. I’m thrilled.

I went with a stainkess krona race cat 3"downpipe, and I header wrapped it. And got a BSR exhaust from Genuine Saab. And a honey badger turbo inlet pipe and k&n intake from Genuine Saab. Very mellow and comfy unobtrusive sound. Cops dont even notice it or follow in NJ

I only realized this summer that my center exhaust was previously deleted. But the straight pipe in there is same dimension. Your's looks narrower. Pipe looks heavier gauge too.

very slightly smaller. heavier piece. we added that rear support back too. That was the cause for the leak to start on the original piece.

@@KylePancis Mine is straight from flex to rear muffler. Sounds different because it's standard exhaust pipe. It's slightly quieter.

You should try a catless downpipe with no res or muffler. Sounds like a rally car, but absolutely obnoxious. Only lasted a few days before I went to a Maptune cat back.

Advice for the future, that is a resonator made to reduce drone and unpleasant frequencies. If you want loud noises, replacing the backbox (muffler) with a straight-through box will give you that! Also that guy welding is proper old-school. Welders-squinting and no gloves as he welds all of it ... lol

When I bought my rusted through exhaust system 9-5 it sounded like this. LOL JK. The used car salesman tried to tell me how great the exhaust sounded but I looked at the bottom and saw the resonator completely disconnected from the muffler by rust before and after the resonator... . Lol Actually sounds pretty good man

That 2.3 sounds good, especially with a good breathing exhaust. Genuinesaab has an awesome turbo-back system that is perfect on the Viggen. No drone and quiet until you get on it, and then it can rattle bolts loose on the underside of overpasses....and rattle any unlucky drivers nearby... XD

perfect sound for me, low drone, good deep rumble, great idle, and makes a good sound when you get on it, I have the geniuine saab 3 inch downpipe with the factory saab sport exhaust, forget who made it for them

@@MassiveTrackHunter both of my exhuast manifold studs on cylinder 4 snapped off, and I needed to take it off anyways, so I bought the genuine saab tubular manifold, it just took the sound and made it better, deeper, cleaner, and a smoother note with less white noise. I absolutely love it, when I can I'll try and upload a video of it if you're interested.

I have been missing the front muffler since 2018. Never a check engine light. However i have a low pressure turbo not an aero

@@thingserik7269 i think i have a low preasure turbo too, but when i put foot down sounds of the turbo and air ontake straight away, wheels spin on new tyres on start, and loads of pull straightaway again i have a 50/50 bov on last two year no lights lotsa hiss turned it down because if i turn up slightly the idle is like 30 mph off the pedal.. i have had a one way bov on too before got some mad mad turbo surge sounds. Got told it was bad for the car so went to a 50 ,50 bov incase, still had no light and o had it on 2 month. I have a KndN air filter cone designed for the 9-5 i bought the last one they had 400 pound bit they dont produce it no more. Had no tuneing but i lnow its had tech2 in her before. Sooo overall if i got the same as this vide will everything be ok ??? Thank you. Pablo

Would this not have been a lot easier to do by taking the exhaust off the car.. ? Your mechanic may be good but his eyes are going to fail very early if he keeps abusing them like that.. Here in the UK he would get slapped with a HSE notice for not using PPE :)
