Marnie, thank you for taking the time it took to do these recommendations. I wanted to recommend the Blondo booties for travel. Despite having more of a heel, they are more comfortable than my Sam Edelman booties. I needed a comfortable walking boot for touring London and found the Blondo bootie is treated to resist water damage. I wore these every evening while walking appx 2-3 miles and they took no breaking in. Now I have moved from Houston to a London suburb for 2 years and I'm so glad I bought these since it is supposed to rain here frequently, although it's not like the torrential downpours we get in Texas! I look forward to shopping for a few must haves in the Anniversary sale and have things shipped to my home in Texas for me to pick up on my November visit.

I went to Nordstrom's tonight and bought the Halogen Scalloped Edge Sweater in Black. I also got another sweater by CeCe that was black with a white rimmed around neck with a small bow and white rimmed around the bottom of the sweater. Both are really pretty. I also got the T3 Featherweight Hair Dryer. I am so happy with my purchases.

I was in the store on Sunday and saw lots of additional items under gauze that will be offered during the sale. So I am planning on going to the store on the 13th. An SA in the fragrance department told me the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black and White will have special sets offered as well.

A tip for those who like to super bargain shop, and don't mind a more work and buying slightly off season: I like to look at the catalog so that I know what to look for when I go to Nordstrom Rack in a few months. A lot of times the returns from the Anniversary Sale end up at the Rack after the sale ends. For example, the brimed wool hat that Marnie got at a previous sale was at the Rack for $5 two months later. This weekend, I saw a Rebecca Taylor dress that was a previous Anniversary sale item and was marked at $250. I knew this had to be wrong because it was seasons old and I recognized it. I asked a sales associate to scan the item and it ended up being 99 percent off.

It is a kissing cousin of last years BP. I find it fun to treasure hunt the sale. The things not prominently shown, may be under cardigans or sweaters. So important to use the internet in conjunction with the paper catalog. And for me, the sneaky peek of that jacket adds an element of fun and excitement! (Geeze, I need to get out more often don't I?) ; )

Those booties may be coming home with me too. Caslon is one of my favorite brands so that long sleeved (or longer sleeved) T-shirt looks great. I liked this Trina Turk Dawn Coat for $279. I also liked the Halogen Soft Jacket in Pink Smoke for $89. There are just so many pretty clothes. Again, thanks for all your recommendations. Looking forward to seeing what you purchased.

I am in need of new hair tools! The T3 and flat iron are at the top of my list, followed by Barefoot Dreams (something I said I would get this year when I skipped last years' sale). Sam Edelman is always a temptation, but I've got to draw the line somewhere and I think hair tools win. Not even a sale item but I just bought a pair of Vince Camuto open toe leather booties w a strap that.....get this.....VELCROS. Lol. So instead of the regular buckle it's a Velcro strap which sounds odd but I'm obsessed. The SA was telling me how so many of the high end shoes are using a Velcro strap. Interesting!

I love the red blazer without the collar, but my practical side says, get a black, navy or other nuetral color so you can wear it with anything. I don't know if you are buying the black leather jacket, but at the awards banquet in Dallas, you said you wanted one because you borrowed Erins and it looked good on you.
