Great video! I would love your help. I am running a PS4 slim through an hour Gato capture card into my HP gaming 16 laptop for streaming. I also have a separate 32 inch gaming monitor so I can see my gameplay. The biggest problem I have is I can run Spotify through my stream but I cannot hear it in my headphones nor can I hear any of my chat alerts? Any info and help would be truly appreciated

Bro bro. All I want to do is stream from streamlabs to twitch and stream Spotify at the same time but my computer gets so hot and runs so slow. Can you check out my Overview? I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with the i7, about 500gb / 1TB of storage available at the moment, and the AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB Graphics. What should I upgrade or change? I was really excited to find your videos. You helped me with the basics of streaming on Twitch with my Mac. Though, I will say. After streaming on Twitch for some time with my Windows partition via Bootcamp, I have found that streaming via my Mac partition if I'm only streaming via my Elgato & console games runs so much better. I crash often with the Windows partition, can't run Chrome while I'm streaming etc and it just has a really tough time. And my computer specs are fine, I have a 2021 intel imac. Switched back to my Mac partition, virtually no problems and can stream HQ, run Chrome, and Elgato Game Capture HD just fine. Super odd. Love your content!

That’s a very interesting perspective! My big thing for the switch was my stream deck wasn’t functioning well at all on the Mac side. Maybe it’s better now possibly.

Been looking into the elgato xlr so i can hear my alerts… so my question is, i mostly use ps5 party game chat so will that still be recorded into my streams?? Hey, I’ve considered doing that video but wasn’t something really requested, so more back burner item. But yes you can hear alerts plus all console audio if you do hdmi output from console.

From what I understand only the astro headset will work with their hardware such as mix amps and base station.

You can use the PS5 mic for game chat no problem. You’ll still need the second mic if you want commentary on your streams if recording from computer

I love your videos man! so helpful! After watching a bunch of your videos, I'm guessing it is NOT possible to use one pair of headphones and mic for in game chat and voice, and a separate high quality mic just for stream, while hearing the PC sounds in your headphones? What if you used a splitter to split connection between 3.5mm of computer and 3.5mm of controller, or maybe if the headphones were USB and using a USB splitter between PS5 and the PC, you couldn't do something sketchy like that? I want to hear my PC sounds and have a high quality mic for the PC, but only use one headset with mic for game chat .... doesn't seem like anyone can figure that out, you always need a secondary stand alone mic, is that right? Nice video! Very helpful. I am a little confused as to why you need two mics, and where is the Fifine mic plugged into? I am assuming a USB port in the PS5? I have an xlr mic for my commentary (plugged into the USB hub via an Irig pro to get it to USB. Would this work as well then so I can hear game chat and sounds?

ps5 to el gato to monitor.check el gato to computer.check yeti to computer.check how does OBS work with yeti mic? does the sound from the yeti mic during livestream go to computer then ps5 to the audience? and does OBS have real time filters during livestream? trying to use the compressor and noise gate filters. my yeti picks up too much background noise during my livestreams compared to other live streamers i listen too.

You need to get a dynamic mic. The yeti is a condenser mic which will pick up everything it hears

You’ll need to connect the headset wired or wirelessly to your computer and select the headset as a mic in OBS. The mic quality is not great though
