I can't stop staring at your shirt! I love how you mentioned why people with shorter nails tend to stay away from thermal nail polishes because they don't get that natural gradient and encourage them to try them out anyway. I love that kbshimmer always does like 2 to 3 specialty finishes in a single polish for that price point! Branching out was definitely one of my top polishes too!

There really is something about that polish you're wearing that makes you *glow*. I'm not sure that polish would have the same effect against my skin tone (unfortunately), but I can see why you love it! I want to thank you for the way you show off thermals and in particular for how you did in 2021. I was one of those people shying away from them because I have short nails but seeing you wear them and recommend them last year, I now have 2 and I have so much fun watching them transition throughout the day just when the ambient temperature changes. Oh _wow_ oh my gosh girl I am absolutely phenomenally in love with the Speckled topper!! Ever since the Illamasqua "Imperfection" speckled collection came out in Spring 2012 I have been a teensy bit obsessed with these colors and I've regularly bought the entire pink, green, yellow, purple and blue set once or twice a year for about a decade now. I'm thrilled to have this effect in a topper now!

Got three of those! Smoky Palo Santo, Reign, and Kelli’s Antimatter. Reign isn’t mine (twin’s) but of the three Antimatter is my favorite! I wore it on a vacation and it went with EVERYTHING. Sci-fi, tropical (I didn’t expect it but the flashy pigment helped), fantasy, shopping, chilling, it literally goes with everything. My favorite thing to top it with is a super scattered holo topper (IMN Northern Lights) to add some of that but maintain the coloring of it. Like to do that with Smoky Palo Santo too, though I might go with a more dense topper like CG Fairy Dust. Reign is flawless on its own 😂

Yay! I've been looking forward to this video! I'm so glad I nabbed Kelli's Antimatter! It's beautiful. Unfortunately I couldn't find any of the Sinful Colors sheer mattes, I really wanted them. Animalistic is a stunner! 🤩 I may need to stop resisting I Scream Nails. I don't think I can pick a favorite polish or brand this year... I really got into indies and Polish Pickup, and those all seem so amazing! I finally got my first KBShimmer and fell in love with their formula. If I had to choose... I think metallic and iridescent flakies, especially in jellies, were the real favorite for me last year.

That was a very interesting and nice review Kelli! thank you so much for creating it. It definitely leans towards the blues and purples and towards the dark colors and I can see how your preferences for new finishes shows but I don't see it as a flaw but rather as a list of your favorites! I don't think we have any polishes in common except the love nectar and I'm still resisting to buy an ice cream shaped bottle. My favorites were the Orly Day tripping and the Manhattan collection. I thought it has been at least two years💀💀 Not a word of lie, two of my top five polishes last year were from your most recent Starrily collab! 2021 had a ton of great polishes! I'm definitely an OPI girl. Metallic Composition from their fall collection was a huge hit for me. I loved all of the colors that I bought from that collection, but Metallic Composition was an unexpected favorite for me.

My number one favorite polish made and purchased in 2021 is Orly’s Ravenous. I love it so much I am sorry I did not get a backup bottle before they sold out. It is a chrome metallic cool-toned purple silver, a one coat wonder. I currently have it on both fingers and toes and my digits just GLOW. 🤩

My fave I bought in 2021 was KB Shimmer’s RV There Yet? I loooove it. It’s similar to my skin tone so it doesn’t stand out too much, but it’s shimmery, and a little holo, and a little multichrome and totally delicious. Edit: wrong year lol

idk if you have "toxic" by iscream nails, but that's my go-to neon highlighter yellow now. china glaze has nice neons, but iscream nails nails (ha) the color *and* opacity - i only need a standard 2 coats in toxic unlike basically every other brand out there.

The Starrily Spiral and Picture Polish Lilas were my fav. The Halo Taco didn’t appear to level out on your nail so to me it looked like it was a blob of green over yellow.

My favorite polish of the year has to go to Ghost Manor by Kathleen and Co, I mean a purple with red shimmer AND holo 😍 it was a polish pick up shade and I need them to bring it back so I can get a back up bottle! Other noteworthy mention to me was the new unicorn skins from Holo Taco this past spring! I love layering those over everything! Oh man had to edit to add ILNP Interstellar, purple and blues are my favorite to wear and that polish is both, it's stunning 😍
