B.B.King: "Elvis always came over to us. He was one of us"! Chuck Berry: "Should I say something about Elvis Presley? Elvis is the greatest, Elvis will always be the greatest. LOL ... I'm 74 and my grandmother would run over anyone getting in her way to see one of his concerts. Fix the hair, put the brooch on her dress and scream to the bandshell in Daytona. Later, my mother's employer (a doctor) explained to her that her mother-in-law still had hormones. He was a very unusual talent. Thanks guys, that was fun.

Elvis was born in 1935. Did the Louisiana Hayride Radio show in 1955 His singing career bust wide open and then did 4 movies. Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Flaming Star and King Creole. Drafted into the Army 1960-1962 stationed in Germany. Returned to the states and then did 32 movies. Stale cookie cutter movies until 1966. In 1968 did a tv special that was such a success it was called his comeback special. Started a Las Vegas residency in 1970. Then toured all the time. Kept returning to Vegas for residency shows. Until he died in 1977.

A bit of trivia....Elvis hair is not jet black...His hair is naturally strawberry blond...Back then, to make his hair black, they used black shoe polish.. Till his dying days, he had to dye his hair black.. The reason why he preferred black hair was due to a movie star name Tony Curtis, and perhaps also due to James Dean as well, who he admired and want to imitate the 'cool look'...All this info I remember from watching an Elvis Documentary, lol..
