Just an fyi, the training keys limit the power to 50%. So not only will you not get anywhere near your top speed, the acceleration will also be much much slower

Multiple people commented the same in previous videos, I think he mentioned it in one of the previous videos as well. Now that he's cleaned the impeller out and it's still going slow, I'd say it's a good bet he only has the training key.

It’s great to see you at work. We had a long famine of your videos. I’m glad you got your head back in the game. You probably needed that time to rest. I’m old enough to be your father. If I was your father, I’d be dang proud of you.

Just a little tidbit .. Seadoos have 2 Keys on the DESS system 1 learning key witch governs you to a lower top speed and a Normal Key which has no speed governing.. all you may need to do is have your current key reprogrammed to be a normal key if it is a learning key .. I can see where a RENTAL Ski might only let the renters use learning keys and that may be the type of key you have… Just throwing that out there ;)

Hey, Zach! Try getting some threaded knobs with wingnuts and attach some rubber caps on the threaded end. Add a few of those to the sides of your cooler rack. You could tighten them down to snug your smaller cooler! All by hand and rubber to protect your cooler. It looks like you already have holes and everything!

Your speed issue is entirely the Learning Key/Rental Tune. Some shops will happily reflash the ECU or program a key to unlock the 130HP engine tune.

With all the troubles you've had with previous Sea Doos I was really happy for you that this went so smoothly. It looks great. I have to imagine the speed thing could be that you only have the starter key. It wouldn't hurt to maybe do a compression test on the engine to see if it's on the lower end. Quick and easy test. Hope you figure it out. Can't wait to see the other one you have that had a blown up motor!

Nice job on the rebuild. I had a 2022 Sea Doo and banged my head against the wall trying to find a cheaper solution to the $400+ Sea Doo cooler. I still have the same mounting clips but could never figure out who to utilize them properly. I now have a plan to build the same basket!

For the screw/bolts that connect the cooler adapter to the bracket, what about making them thumb screw types of bolts incase you decide to make attachments for other accessories. You could add something like a pelican case or similar that is smaller and then only need a base plate rather than that entire cage.

In general the floats on the learning keys are green and normal keys are black/yellow. Typically after 2020 or so seadoo didn't include learning keys, you had to purchase them separately, BUT in this instance with it being (likely) a rental ski the previous owner may have had it reduced due to frequent inexperienced drivers operating the ski. Find someone with B.U.D.S or candoo pro and they'll be able to flash a new key or change the key you have. If you were closer to South MS I could fix you up.

I really like the idea of a cooler mount on the back but I see a couple issues here. The first is that when I ride my waverunner with others I like to whip my passengers off the back or I have fallen back doing tricks as well. Meaning I see the mount more of a arm slicer or headache maker than anything else. Also it doesn't seem that versatile for anything other than a cooler like a camp chair or gas can. I would have loved to see something a bit more flat like the trunk lid racks for small cars/convertibles. Something you can just bungie cord anything to.

It looked like you put those speakers in with screws. For the future that sort of thing really needs to be done with nuts and bolts. Screws in fiberglass especially hanging something heavy like that on something that's going to be bouncing around will not last very long before they pull out of the fiberglass.

Im surprised nobody had mentioned this, the impeller is cooked! You put a new wear ring on a worn prop. Its caveating. Bring a friend and really put a load on the ski riding two up. Give it the beans, it should pull hard and get up on plain and feel like it had good thrust. If it feels like you’re spinning your wheels not really getting any “grip” its the impeller. Take it to a prop shop, way cheaper to have it repaired.

I had a 2021 Kawasaki STX 160X and after one summer of usage the top speed dropped from about 60 mph to low 40’s. Tried to get it looked at but it was a month out of warranty so I just sold it. Hope you can figure out why you aren’t getting the expected output because I know how frustrating it is.
