My $40 DIY IKEA Baggebo Greenhouse Cabinet | Ikea Hack | Houseplant Care Routine + Tips | Plant Tour

Labor of love completed in one afternoon!
The IKEA Baggebo greenhouse cabinet is an affordable glass cabinet that can be easily converted into a greenhouse space for your houseplants.
From a 1-10 difficulty, I would say this is a level 3 (compared to my Rudsta which is 100/10 due to the nightmare spray painting job I did).
PROS:
-Small footprint
-Easy build
-Affordable
CONSIDERATIONS:
-Small footprint (Because you are replicating a humid, tropical environment, you may notice some plants explode with growth and outgrow the cabinet quickly)
-Additional customizations will add to the cost (but luckily, you can customize as little or as much as you like).
If you are using this greenhouse for display purposes only (and to keep away pets), you don't need to customize much. I would just add in grow lights, fans, and the acrylic shelves at minimum. The weatherstripping is only necessary if higher humidity is important for you. The reason why I like the acrylic shelves is because the holes are not only decorative - they are functional too because they allow the fans to circulate air throughout the cabinet.
I didn't mention it in this video, but I also taped a reptile heating pad underneath the cabinet to keep the bottom floor of the cabinet warm for my propagations.

Milsbo is HUGE and also the most expensive of the cabinets. I went with the Baggebo because it’s the most affordable and has a small footprint. The Rudsta I got because I like the modern straight legs and it’s cheaper and bigger than the Milsbo wide 🤌

I already bought the cabinet and have a few grow lights and fans. The only thing missing are the shelfs & pegboard. Why are a few pieces of plexiglass so expensive? That's insane to me! There’s a heat mat taped underneath the cabinet that helps the rooting process and once they outgrow their little cups they acclimate to the higher humidity in the cabinet 🙂
