Breakups are hard dude! Certainly handled it better than you could have. New GoPro quality is solid. Make sure you turn on the hyper stabilization when you're hand operating though. Make sure the software is up to date too. Audio is really nice overall. My Hero 8 is still kicking, but I'd like to upgrade. I'm still super impressed how fast you blew this thing apart and got it back together. Also still think that engine had some issues before whatever problems you caused. Excited to see this beast rip! JEGS should really sponsor you any parts you need given you made their most popular video ever, hahaha.

Just keep pushing on and keep doing what you love man, we've all been there. Try your best to keep a clear mind and everything will work out for the best. Otherwise i had a very similar outcome with a motor I stuck in an 85 s10 blazer i had. It was a 74 400, and what happened was when I re torqued the mains, it went out of round and ate the bearings. Getting a line hone would have saved me a ton of money but at least give it the ol plasti gauge before you send it. Long story shorter is double check the clearances, id hate to see another problem come about for you on this build. Along with that, I built another truck with a 327 and nv3500. Right away, I went with a stock clutch type, and it would push through the clutch with a stock block. I struggled for a while before calling centerforce clutch and getting a set up to work for myself and a friend who was having similar clutch problems. Sorry for the long post but I'm an s10 nut and would hate to see someone struggle the same way I did with mine.

Stuff happens in life, all we can do is move on or sulk in our misery. Glad you decided to move forward with your life, sucks about the truck engine but at least you found the culprit quick. I would rather weld the spider gears to the case and have the whole case as strength vs depending on that dinky cross shaft supplying power to the ground which will eventually break first long before an axle since its half the diameter of an axle. Good luck either way man, wish you well on your future

Gotta love when people lie to ya eh. Just outta curiosity, how much did your pops pay for that engine? I'd be pissed if the jack hole gave me some story that it's a low km's and that it was total bullshit.

My guess is that you need to keep looking deeper at your problem, the wrong pressure plate might have compounded the issue, but i doubt that the force of the clutch after couple of miles on your engine could have caused such mayor damage, looks like an oiling problem. good luck.

I have some more bad news for you, if that was a factory crank and factory rods in that sbc 400 and you have to buy an after market crank you will need new pistons and rods anyway. The reason is only the factory sbc crank is setup for the .135" shorter rod length and the after market sbc 400 or 383 cranks are setup for a minimum of a 5.7" rod. If you can remove your pistons from those rods without ruining them you can re-install them on a set of 350 rods and use spacer bearings to make a 372 out of it if the block is still the standard bore? With some wheeling and dealing you should be able to find factory sbc rods relatively inexpensive, the same goes for a sbc 350 crank. Or you can shop for a set of used sbc 5.7" rod 400 pistons on eBay? If you need a new crank it might be cheaper to get the cast steel sbc 383 crank and use the spacer bearings than an aftermarket "replacement" sbc 400 crank(that will require a minimum of a 5.7" rod). If you're lucky you may find a factory ready to install reman sbc crank shaft for a reasonable price if you wail long enough? I seen 1 on eBay that needs a regrind that they are asking $200(or best offer) plus $77 shipping not sure how much more it will cost to get to Canadia eh though? Maybe if you offer $75 for it tell him it needs $200 of regrinding so it isn't anything special, it's just a core. Maybe they'll let it go for that depending how long they had it listed? But by the time you did all that you might want to find something else to put in there so you can do a proper sbc 400 build with a brand new balanced rotating assembly built the way you want it to run. Why risk destroying a ultra rare sbc 400 block with worn out parts? Maybe stuff the 305 back in it for now and do another build series, sbc 400 builds are popular videos.

Oh I’ve already got the crank back, only took .020 out of the mains and .010 from the throws. I can assure you, as you’ll see in next weeks video. It runs FANTASTIC and has no power issues or anything. Just wait for the video and give your critiques then cause I’m sure I did something else wrong you’ll tell me about

@@ak_strem7010 You made it sound like the crank was a lost cause in the video, that's great you were able to save it! There was no need to get defense for giving you what I thought was bad news about getting another crank. I wasn't critiquing you, I was giving you options. I don't get it, all I did was try to help, how is advice critiquing? Anyway I am so glad you were able to fix it and so sorry about the breakup, I hope you're feeling better?(been there done that and it wasn't fun)

@@itseithergonnaworkoritaint7852 Oh no I’m sorry, that wasn’t intended to be a rude reply at all. It would’ve been better to show the crank before I sent it out but with all the shit going on I just never got around to recording it. I definitely misinterpreted the advice as criticism and that’s my bad, apologies. Too used to so many people giving their unsolicited opinions on things But still, can’t wait for you to watch the next video cause the sumbitch runs really good

@@ak_strem7010 No worries, apology accepted. That's awesome! I can't wait to see it running! And unsolicited opinions and advice are free so you can take them or leave them. This is the good thing about them here, comments help the algorithm recommend your videos to people watching this kind of content. So try not to take any comments personal. Try to be happy people are taking an interest to comment at all because it helps your channel grow that will help pay for more Go-Pros. LOL Also, I give everyone of your videos a thumbs up because I know those will help your channel as well. I want you to do great because I can see the potential you have especially if you're getting paid you can make even better content with some funding. It's really hard to do any of this stuff without funding unfortunately. Have a great day.
