MEET Wally - the 5ft, 60lb, federally-licensed emotional support alligator. Owned by Joie Henney, from Pennsylvania, Joie's house boasts a variety of reptiles, ranging from bearded dragons to ball pythons. The reptile that steals the show, however, is the four-year-old Wally, who has a special place in Joie's heart. Joie told Truly: "He's far from a typical alligator, he loves cuddling and he loves giving kisses". As well as having full run of the house, Wally is regularly taken out for walks to parks, malls and even restaurants.

I wonder what makes Wally's brain different from the average alligator. Whats going on in Wally's brain that allows him to tolerate humans, allow pets, allow cuddles? Its quite amazing.

I wonder that myself i think its he has had him since he hatched or very close after and has been holding him petting him all that so its basically trained almost like you would a puppy or a cat. Problem will be when he gets full grown

Wally could have a disability in his brain if I'm correct there was a wild crocodile a man would take care of way bigger then him she was not aggressive at all but did have a brain injury mabey walley has one but then again many he's just one in a million who literally has the right personality to be different

If Wally is an American Alligator, how did he not grow any more than 5 feet/60 pounds? Was it pure genetic luck? I thought dwarf caimans were specifically sought after for pets because they grew no larger than Wally..
