As someone who loves money, how do I not let it take over my life? at what point do you think its okay to spoil yourself or splurge a little

I'd be lying if I said that money did not take over my life as well. Since I was a kid I was thinking about money a lot, my dad is very money-oriented as well. Tough conversations typically involved how much money we had (or didn't have) and wanted to figure out how we could make enough money to support the entire family and keep going. I will say, with spending money, I am OK spending money on things and splurging on myself now and then. I try to delay gratification as much as I can, but if there's some new sweater I want, or a coffee I want from a coffee shop, I've been known to indulge. I think the best point at which to spoil yourself a little, is when you have some income coming down the pipeline and you've been making moves to increase your income, or at least improving a little every day. As long as you're moving toward your goals, whether that be a career, financial, or relationship goal, as long as you're making progress - that's important. Keep the consistency up, and reward yourself along the way. If you're in a spot where you aren't producing income, that's OK too. Figure out what you can do TODAY to make strides towards making an income. It could be as simple as getting out of bed, going on a walk, sleeping on a normal schedule, etc. We all are at different points in our lives and timelines. It takes time, but if you can continue momentum, it will come. And along the way you'll figure out when a good time to spoil/splurge is.

if you'd like to start a side hustle that makes probably upward of over 5k a year, starting an LLC or Sole Prop is your best bet. :) I personally have an LLC.

Thanks Kadesh. I’d say you need some sort of skill to start with consulting. So to build those skills you do need some experience. Whether that’s running your own side hustle or working dor someone. After you get some experience it’s just all about finding clients

I would say a subscriber on KZbin is worth like 1000 Tik Tok followers for value in terms of the quality of view LOL. Side hustle... anything you can do in your local neighborhood to earn money. A service business is best. Like helping neighbors do errands, yard work, etc. or flipping items. Stack that cash and then invest.

When you’re a consultant for a big company like that you’re generally trying to find weak points in their business and address them with actionable solutions. Maybe take a look at Macy’s, how they make their money, where some of the weaker points are and go from there?
