I really enjoyed watching your video it moved me! I live in the US but I have a 2017 SS that has been returned to Holden emblems and a Magnuson supercharger. I would have loved to give my Gearhead father a ride in it but he had a stroke and the Last 5 Years of his life he had dementia and would not have anything to do with me because he thought that I stole his driver's license... RIP Dad and Holden! 🙏😥

Reminds me of when I used to take my Uncle Jack for rides in my V8 Commie. Nothing like this one but also nothing like my uncle could ever Imagine. He had a stroke and had to stop driving decades before hand and most the time only owned his builders trucks. I remember there was this very steep hill near his place he had gone up 1000 Times in his various Vehicles. He was amazed I could just drive up it with no effort. Went back down and gave the thing a squirt and he couldn't stop laughing and saying it was the most amazing thing he'd ever seen. I'd take him for drives every time I went to Visit. My Aunt would say " take it easy, he has a bad ticker, I don't want him getting excited". When we got in the car He'd say " I'm living on borrowed time , I could have a heart attack in bed and not wake up tomorrow, I want to live while I can. Don't listen to your aunt, she is going to kill me of boredom. " It was pretty funny to go laying rubber off the lights with a very senior and frail looking man sitting beside me but he loved every minute of it. He just couldn't get over how it would pin him back in the seat and go round corners so different to anything he had ever owned or been in before and would always talk about the feeling of it. My Aunt got a bit mad with me once before we went out saying " Don't you kill him getting him overly excited. It takes me a week to calm him down after you take him out." He turned and said " You Silly bugger, he gives me something to live for and makes me feel alive. " I miss him a lot.

this reminds me so much about my grandfather when i brought my cammed vy sv8 and took it to show him when he had dimentia and alziemers. the nursing home wasnt too happy about me taking him out because of their policy but i said get stuffed its my grandfather ill do what i want try and stop me. I took him around the streets not too far from the home gave a few squirts of half throttle to the speed limit and it put the biggest smile on his face, when I was just about to pull back in after the 15 minute drive he said lets go up there and burn some rubber :) back in his day he always had the top of the range V8s but he wanted to smell some smoke and there was a huge pavement area that looked like an old carpark and i said sorry because of there being a police station literally 30 seconds away he was 89 i think . he said it was okay but everytime i seen him he asked about it how many tyres ive gone through how many tickets haha but unfortunatley 2 to nearly 3 weeks after that drive he passed away. sometimes i do wish i did do a small burnout to make that day even better.. whole family are speed freaks even my grandmother and shes 87 but if she asks for it im gonna do it that way i dont kick myself. was an awesome video you did man that made it feel so personal. keep up the good content

Firstly, the car is art!! Second, you spoke to your grandfather like anyone in his position, picking up on the things he knows, listening when you spoke, so to relate as men. Third, you introduced the performance at the level deserved of such a man and I say this with the experience of having a similar arvo with my mother but I was thinking only of myself and the pleasure that I was giving my mother that I thought had to include a demo of the 600HP at my disposal.........WRONG!!!! SCREAMED at the top of her lungs and scolded me so from me, for what it's worth A1 job all round by all ✅💯🍵☺️
