In the late 70’s I use to go to a great comic shop that always had a few copies of Amazing Fantasy 15 in different grades. As I remember a VG would have sold there for $250 or $300. The owner pulled me aside one day and said, kid stop buying these $2 and $3 dollars golden age fillers and save up for a AF 15. I never could do it. It would have taken me two years of mowing lawns without spending a nickel. That dude had my best interest!

ASM 50 is a QUADfecta: Amazing cover, classic storyline, first appearance of the Kingpin, AND it contains that all time great splash page of Peter with his suit in the trash can. That page alone has been homaged on covers.

Yup! I have #1 all the way to the late #300s I used to own 2.5 AF 15 but I sold it to make rent.

If you’re interested me and my partners are looking to buy good collections. You can email me if you want with photos or video. Outside of that if you know a local dealer you can reach out to them, or a local shop. Most dealers or shops usually pay less than collectors like myself but do your due diligence.

How do I get them CGC graded and is it worth it? Little leary of sending them somewhere for fear of losing some. Could be persuaded to travel with em if it's not too far. Mid Iowa is my location, thanks T

@@terrysee2021 you can sign up for a CGC account at cgccomics.com or there are facilitators who do it for you for a fee which I’m a bit Leary of. Im comfortable buying raw comics but some people aren’t. You may get more $ for graded books but you will also spend more $ doing so.

Hey Lawrence, congratulations on your Spider-Man run. Your amazing fantasy is awesome mostly because they have said 85% of the amazing fantasy 15’s. They have marvel chipping you don’t have any I didn’t see any.. I got lucky years back I have no marvel chipping on my copy 6.0 definitely the reason I was offered $100,000 at the New York City con in October but I’m not selling it. I told you I even showed it to Heritage it was graded so long ago everybody thinks it will be a higher grade that’s why I was offered more than fair market value which is $80,000

I have ASM up to number #400 only have #8 in the first 10 issues I need I believe only 24 books total I have my 3rd favorite villain #20 Scorpion I need my 1st favorite Electro and 2nd Mysterio then I got to get The Sandman

It is no disgrace not to read a lot of the new modern stuff. I am trying to get into the new Ultimate Spider-Man run, but the games that Marvel does to its buyers concerning variant cover turns me off, and the stories don't match the classics.
