This is why I respect LFG. At 4:50 when he lost that fish, he didn’t mind, he didn’t freak out. He’s such a chill dude and is a great reminder to not take things too seriously and to keep things in perspective.

@ 1:30mins; LFG, check out Therm-a-Rest air mattresses, they have foam filled self-inflation and blow to fill sleeping pads. And as you are now getting ready to go on an Epic journey, I would recommend the blow-up variety! Ultra compact, super lightweight! My bride picked up a good knock-off......I didn't sleep in my bed for 3 days! It was That comfortable! I tested it immediately on the uneven tile floor of our 'Arizona-room' and literally fell asleep in minutes! And it rolled up and fit in the cargo pocket of my shorts!

Make sure that you get yourself a magnesium bar with a fire Steel Contraption from virtually every Sporting Goods store and or Department the firesteel is mediocre but a giant block of magnesium when things are wet and you need to get that fire started is a massive game changer! And growing up in Oregon where most of our backpacking Adventures occurred in what to damp conditions the Magnesium block and that fire starter worked amazing you will have to shave off of probably a lot of magnesium to get the fire started but it works, and they're cheap!

I love the format. Haven't done that in years on my end. Growing up we used to separate the day like that. In the morning, and shore lunch ciesta then back out for evening bite. What I noticed (even when you said pockets) is those fish were coming off small secondary points more than pockets or creek backs. Definitely pre-spawn or post. Not much on bloody tails so probably pre.

you mentioned that Table Rock is your favorite lake earlier. Have you fished the Kings River yet? Next time yall travel through Arkansas/Missouri hit me up. I'd enjoy guiding yall around. We can take the hobies on the Kings, fish walleye on Bull Shoals, trout fish on the Little Red, etc and include a Catch and Cook. Enjoy the videos and your Bandito Bug has increased my Plastics game ten fold!

Justin. I’m from broken bow. I grew up fishing that lake my whole life. My uncle is a guide on that lake. You can look him up(Rudy’s guide service). The average bass size for broken bow is much bigger than 2-3 pounders. If you will head north and fish the upper end of the lake. In the river channel. You will find the mondo’s you are looking for.

My young Jedi.......the day I started camping with a cot AND a sleeping pad; ehhhhh, game changer man! I used to stuff mine inside a 3-man tent. It fit perfect with about a foot and a half on the side for gear...PLUS, you have all the room underneath the cot! Works out well. You ALWAYS have your truck and/or boat right there. A cot isn't much bigger when all wrapped up than your tent (sorry, I could hear my friends givin me crap about "lugging it around").......until I bring my extra. As "Lunkers would say", 110% game changer man! I imagine that alien in your head needs it's proper rest :)
