When my kids were younger they couldn't get the concept of keeping the tent door zipped to prevent bug bites. So I stopped using tents and bought my kids hammocks. Greatest thing I've ever done. Oddly enough we dont get bug bites. We been using them for 6 years now. With an under quilt and a good sleeping bag and a tarp. It really is an all year around, 4 season, sleeping situation. Especially if you get a two person. The extra space makes for a comfortable night.

I'm a hammock camper. I really suggest a hammock with a rig line. And a must have insulation for your under side. A good starter would be a sleeping pad with a R rating. Those two thing will really make it more comfy.

10 pound line is normal for me, but Lake Martin is clear and deep, so light line gets you more bites.I When the main river is blown out, try some secondary feeder creeks with good flow for white bass. I have had some good days catching white bass in a small creek on Martin, and I would like to try the same pattern on other creeks. I think that any major feeder creek will have some kind of white bass run. I have actually caught the occasional white bass in small trickles. You just never know with those fish.

Where's the cold beverages... seems like that's the only thing missing or maybe some Texas bourbon or whiskey or maybe even some moonshine.... I'm sure that mullet man knows at least one southern boy with a still in the woods ... would make for a great second part to this video... Everyone sitting around the campfire sipping some shine after enjoying those white bass tacos.. telling stories or listening to the coyotes howl in the distance( hopefully in the far distance considering they'll be sleeping in hammocks)...

Nice try with the wood boxes that you made for camping but they need to be turned on their side, put in shelves, front doors, a place for your stove, pot n pans, Tupperwares of staples, and a drawer or two of which there should always be plenty of easy ways to start a fire. A grub box, chuck box, camping pantry if you will. Look them up on the G, nice to have at your age because they last forever and you'll be a proud owner i guarantee!. Best wishes to you and yours!

Try setting your ropes higher and lengthen them out. It will make the hammock more of a “c” shape and not so tight. Which lets you lay more diagonally and flat. It’s hard to explain but google it. It changed my hammock camping 100%.
