I'm also fascinated by Boer/Afrikaner people in South Africa. They are great, proud and brave nation, and they were betrayed by their former western allies So, basically, I respect them because they remind me of my Serbian people. Rhodesia is the same thing. Ian Smith, a great man and a leader of Rhodesia, fought in WW2 as RAF pilot. In the end, British betrayed Rhodesia by supporting Marxist degenerate Mugabe who established shit-hole called Zimbabwe.

Imperial Walker Every time I think of those betrayals it sickens me. Worse still, most Englishmen of my age have no idea who Ian Smith was, or even what Rhodesia was. When a people knows nothing of its ancestors, or worse spits on their memories, they soon stop thinking of their decendants.

The biggest historical tragedy of the whole SA land question is the British influence as soon as mineral wealth was discovered. One surmises that generations of South Africans of all colours and creeds may have been spared heartbreak and bitterness had this not dominated social, political and cultural developments through the 19th and 20th centuries. Did not Paul Kruger himself weep for his people on learning that gold had been discovered in what was then the Republic of Transvaal?

It all depends on if the West helps the Black government. If they stay out of it, I honestly think the Whites, despite being such a tiny minority with no major control of military, political arena, etc. would be able to fight to a stalemate and get concessions.

Some members of neo-Nazi groups in South Africa were of British descent. For example, Eugene Terre’Blanche (who was himself partly of Scottish ancestry) travelled to Durban - a city founded by British settlers in the mid 1820s - to talk to supporters of the AWB there. Furthermore, some British South Africans were members of the White Liberation Movement, the BBB. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blanke_Bevrydingsbeweging One of its members was an Englishman named Keith Conroy, who subsequently joined the AWB and became one of Terre’Blanche’s right-hand men. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/keef-of-croydon-stokes-sa-race-fires-english-immigrant-who-heads-awbs-iron-guard-could-be-deported-1494521.html

A lot of this clip relates to events that took place pre 1997 - I think. ET himself has been deceased for a while. Self determination for Afrikaner people is something that must be on the table. I cannot see peace and stability in South Africa without this. Accomplishing this is not going to be easy; as a first off I cannot see the ANC being open to the idea. Second, the Afrikaner are very divided and they have been for a long while. Among right wingers there a few different organisations and these do not see eye to eye. Just to be clear on this, I am referring to the 1990's where there was groups like the AWB, Herstigtige Nasionale Party, Conservative Party and more. This is something that must be overcome in order to put up a credible platform from which to commence the drive toward self determination. Using symbols like the 777 is not helpful; whatever the intent behind its use, it will always be thought of as a swastika.
@emilegriffith14736 жыл бұрын
All of this is pre-1992. WAY before Mandela was elected. They were still holding out for Whites to hold on to majority rule, or if not, a Boer republic at this time. WELL before 1997 mate. By 1997 I'd say half the people here already left, mostly for Australia, and New Zealand.

CynicalCloud Your comment is probably the most stupid political comment I have ever read. Congrats, buddy.
@ForestWalker226 жыл бұрын
CynicalCloud You are just a proponent of extreme liberal totalitarianism, who's goal is to destroy all nations, white and non-white, all the cultures, and to make only one human race without a foundation in history - a race of slaves. Diversity is a code word for making an uniformity. That's a Huxleian dystopistic world you are looking for. Every reasonable man is against it. Nationalism, including ethnonationalism, is a defense weapon against that liberal totalitarianism.
