Toyin, I don't usually post as a busy exec, grandma, and grad student, but I have been so encouraged and supported by your very helpful, clear, and straightforward advice! Thank you so very much for the work you are doing! For those of us without mentors or who have not seen family and relatives take this path, you are so appreciated. You will always be in my prayers and mentioned in my gratitude journal. Hugs!

I’ve been subscribed to you since I finished undergrad and it’s taken me 2.5 years to finally finish my grad applications (as of yesterday) and I’m so happy I did. It took me that long to find my “why” and I feel a lot more secure in my decision to finish apply and (hopefully if admitted) attend grad school for architecture so I can create buildings with practical design! It will allow me to design with a purpose and give back to communities and help me obtain the lifestyle I want 💛

Great advice! I think my why got lost somewhere in between classes, teaching, and research so I'm trying to dig it out. As always great videos and thank you from a first year McNair alumnus.

I love your "why"! Me and countless others have benefitted from it! My why is b/c I am a life long learner who want to impact the lives of children through music and the arts to help combat societal-ills. Tfs
