My Big Boat Was Perpetually SINKING... But Fixing It Was CHEAP

We've been putting in ten hour days every weekend on the Abandoned Mini Resort and it was time for a break. I bought a 1999 Chaparral 2130SS that needs a few things fixed before we leave it on the water. The audio system is broken, the hood struts are bad, and it takes on way too much water.

Well I didn't get to watch this till today/Friday but I have to say you did a pretty good job probably free handing the pass thru on the Tiki bar. It's not as easy as it seems to do that with a hand grinder. I run them at work tuckpointing chimneys and I cut down red clay tiles to put on top. It's hard to keep the line straight, especially now that we usually have a vacuum dust arrestor hose setup. A lot easier if you're not fighting with the hose and just let the grinder pull itself along with just the guard on. I'm sure you were doing the safety squint too... 😉 I've been doing this 37 years now so I'm pretty good at it.

Just FYI in future when cutting metal roof panels buy a cutting wheel made out of steel instead of the fiber disc. They cut like butter and last a long time and many cuts.

Before anyone else sees this video and decides to run to Home Depot and rent a towable lift... As JR says "It's scary when the branches hit the lift." It's even scarier when the large ones get tangled in the basket, causing the basket weight to be exceeded, and the whole lift comes crashing down sideways, with you, untethered, flying out of the basket. I have the exact same lift, which I use to do siding and painting. I wear a tethered harness with an extensible bungie whenever I'm more than 20' off the ground. I've been in the lift when the "out of level" alarm went off and the whole lift suddenly began to lean because a hose blew in one of the "feet". Frightening stuff. I was able to get the basket close to the ground before the lean became so extreme that the lift would have collapsed. My tree guy refuses to use my lift, preferring to climb the tree, because he's seen too many professional tree guys seriously injured or killed using lifts like this one.

Need to put in a bunch of tiki torches but wire them and put in flame bulbs . A couple crossed over on each side of the bar and maybe a few inside. You should name the Bar “Kiítsu” it’s the Pawnee word for Water. Just a little tribute to the Native American. Or Rum 51 will also work. Also you need to add a fire pit somewhere. Maybe down in the hole behind the house. Build some stairs to walk down to it. Bonus would be putting a hot tub under the deck and water proofing it. Unless you want to watch the stars.
