This dark and moody wedding has all the centerpieces. The only problem is the rain didn't get the memo and it's putting a bit of a damper in trying to get the order done on time.

Nice arrangements, Kristen. Something you can do if you need a color you don’t have in a flower is use ribbon. You can make a single loop and attach it to a wired floral pick and stick a few in with the flowers. Berries are wonderful. I think they bring any arrangement to a different level. When I had to stop working with fresh flowers due to an allergy and I went to silk I would always look for some kind of berry clusters….and some wispy greens. Nice that Julia made an appearance. 💕

@@ShiftingRoots Been there, done that, Kristen. Old florists’ trick. You can add a color without using a bow, get a pop of an unusual color and use any width ribbon….narrow all the way up to 4” wide. Works well in wreaths and outdoor Christmas containers or window boxes. You can also construct a large bow that way without trying to manipulate the ribbon as along as you can use the picks. Florist picks come in a lot of different sizes and thicknesses…many more than you’ll see in retail stores from teeny to long hefty. If I can help you in any way I’m happy to share what I’ve learned over the years. I always used floral foam. We didn’t know it was toxic back then. There is one now made of wool that is biodegradable….more costly and a little harder to work with. Florists on line say you have to use it on its side, not try to stick in it through top or bottom. It’s put together in layers and then compressed and is easier to stick the stems between the layers than trough them. I really can’t imagine how you would make a large centerpiece without using foam. Adds a lot more time for construction. Time is money. 💕😊

There’s no shame in buying extra! This is the first year I’ve mostly had enough.
